Walther Arms PPQ .22 4" 12+1 BLACK POLYMER

I've had this gun out for a couple of range sessions. This one is the PPQ that is striker fired. I had several brands of 22 in my bag and it chewed through them all as if it had been doing it for years. I have no complaints at all. The gun is the same size as my 9 and 40 but noticeably lighter. Same great trigger and accurate . I'm very pleased with my PPQ 22 and recommend it to you.

Absolutely love this firearm, feels great in the hand and very easy to keep on target. Flawlessly cycles rounds and very easy to break down and clean.

The pistol is exactly what I was shopping for. Well-made, lightweight, comfortable, easy breakdown for cleaning. A second magazine was included, which was unexpected. Good value! Of course, it will have to be sighted in, which is to be expected with a new firearm.

Walther makes a great gun. I’ve put more than 500 rounds through the gun without any failures so far. The best thing about the gun is that it’s the same size and has the same controls as the Walther PPQ M2 9mm with a 4” barrel. This gun gives you a cheaper option for target shooting, while allowing you to familiarize yourself better with the ergonomics and controls of the 9mm. My wife prefers shooting the 22lr, and my kids are getting a chance to shoot with very light recoil and a negligible concussive blast. Great gun!

I was on the fence of buying this Walther or the Taurus TX 22. After extensive research (many articles & youtube videos) it was obvious to me that not only was the Walther the more reliable and well built pistol but it also came from one of the best firearm companies out there. I did want a full size pistol and this one is it. To start with, the fit in my hand is amazingly comfortable and this seems to be a common theme with many other owners. Despite its weight in ounces, it feels much lighter. It also feels solid, smooth and extremely well built. The slide action is incredible too. Its light, simple and precise.
After shooting it at the range several times these are my discoveries: it eats all ammo or at least the 4 differernt kinds I had. It performed flawlessly shot every time. That alone was very impressive, esp. for a 22lr. The trigger is amazing and Walthers are known for this as well. Its semi short, not gritty and with an extremely clean break.
As for the sights, I first was suspect of the rear black out sights (front white dot sight) as my other pistols had rear white dots or fiber optics. Yet once I started shooting it I realized just how quick and easy it was to get my sight alignment on the target. It truly makes it easier or for me it does anyway. Somehow it all lines up quick once you put the front white dot on your target.
To add proof to the pudding, the accuracy was off the charts excellent. I was hitting 6x6 inch steel targets from 20-35 yards no problem. It was actually easy, esp. coming from my 9mm pistol. From 15-5 yards my grouping were all within a fists range on the target. The rear sights are adjustable yet I didnt tough them at all. Out of the box, this pistol is extremely dialed in. Its super fun to shoot and makes an average shooter feel like a Special Ops. sharp shooter!!! I highly reccommend this pistol.
To sum it up, I love this Walther PPQ 22 and Im happy I did my research. I paid more for it than the P22 but it was well worth it for me. If I had to play devils advocate, its a full size pistol and a near carbon copy of Wathers full size 9mm. Its not a conceal carry pistol but I knew that and I didnt buy it for that. For me it was to take to the range with my 9mm to practice various tactical drills and not break the bank on ammo. I LOVE this pistol and feel extremely comfortable in the tried and true company (who has excellent customer support) it comes from, Walther. Thank you.

Purchased this gun based on good reviews from others, and also wanted a .22 caliber for myself and my son to use at the range. After 600 rounds through it it has proved to be a great handgun and a lot of fun. My son loves it and finds it easy to shoot, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fun and reliable it was. Will definitely consider another Walther product in the future.
