Chambered in .223 Remington this rifle is set up perfectly for your next varmint hunt. Featuring a free floated, cold hammer forged, 22" steel barrel with a 1:8" twist rate this rifle will stabilize a variety of bullet weights. The Ruger marksman adjustable trigger offers a crisp pull weight that can be tuned to between 3 and 5 lbs. The 5 round, flush fit, rotary detachable magazine provides quick reload and follow up shot capability and the one piece scope rail from the factory assures that you can get up and running right out of the box.

i have had this gun for a few years now,,,,,its a good rifle, shoots great,,,,,a better magazine would make it perfect ,, but it works,,i use mine a lot, and the fast twist barrel gives it more flexibility ,,,

buds as always a 10 star, after 5 light primer strikes on 3 dif ammos and fighting the rotary magazine the whole time i sold the rifle after 1 out at the range. sorry ruger but this rifles accurate only when it goes bang after you finally get 5 lousy rounds in magazine obviously designed for 22lr.

This is a great entry level gone. You simply can’t beat it for the money. It’s got the Ruger name behind it, it’s very well-made. Action is a little tight at first but that’s normal for a new gun. I’ve got it set up with the Caldwell bipod and a Vortex tactical scope. Without truly dialing in the scope I was able to shoot 600 yards. I will give you an update when I hit the thousand yard mark

This gun will flat shoot. Ruger has engineered out all the extra production costs but they give you as accurate a production rifle as you will find. The stock and magazine construction leave much to be desired and the bolt is a bit rough out of the gate. The threaded barrel is a nice feature and the accuracy is top notch. A great gun for people who want a budget shooter that really performs where it matters most.

Fantastic rifle. No issues out of the box. i gave it a standard cleaning before hitting the range. Put a decent scope on it. After zeroing the scope. i put my groupings a 1/2 inch @ 100 yards. And I am NOT that good of a shot. Very smooth, and tremendous fun to shoot. Definitely worth the money. I wish the magazine held more rounds but that's it.

Not a thing of beauty, but everything works with accuracy being around a minute with Federal Factory ammo (50 gr SP) I have loaded some Winchester and PMC 64 gr bullets and will try those next as the heavier bullet should agree more with the 1:8 twist.

This rifle is probably the best predator/varmint rifle on the market for the money. It's packed full of features and is a beautiful rifle. I paired it with the Burris 2-7x Predator Quest and ended up with an above average rifle for around $500, can't beat that! Mine seems to like the 50gr Varmint tipped ammo the best but shoots the 60 (s) grain stuff good too. My only gripe is the stock, I luv the color but it's just a lil flimsy for me. All in all I give this set up (rifle & scope) a 4.5 out of 5 stars. My dad likes it so much he ordered him the 22-250 version. Lol. Ruger got it right again with the American Rifle and Predator rifle series! Buds was great as usual, a lil slower on the shipping but no biggie. I highly recommend the rifle and BudsGunShop.com.
