I just got my new Silverback a little over a week ago.I have ran over 500 rounds of many different types and brands of ammo through it using several different magazines.It has performed flawlessly!I love the look and feel of it.I have owned several different other 1911 pistols and they all are good,but this one is a cut above the rest.I'll be keeping this one!The fit and finish are excellent.My THANKS to Buds Gun Shop for being a pleasure to deal with!

Fantastic pistol. For a full size 1911, this thing feels light in hand. It seems to be perfectly balanced and just feels good when you are holding it. Fit and finish is excellent, just a beauty to look at. Took it out the last two days and put 200 rounds through it. Accuracy out of the box seems good. We are having a cold spell here in Texas so I did not spend much time running those rounds through it, but I had a lot of touching groups. I have to admit I had some flyers too but I am mostly blaming that on the cold, the wind and the fact that I was freezing . That's my story and I am sticking to it. Reliability was perfect. I used DW, Kimber, Mec-Gar, Metalform and Wilson mags with a mix of FMJ and HP ammo. Chambered every time, fired every time, ejected every time and the slide locked open on every empty mag. To say that I am happy with this pistol is an understatement. I broke it down and cleaned and re-lubricated it before ever firing it and since then have only run a patch down the barrel. I am going to run another 100 down it before I take it down and give it a good cleaning just to see how it runs unless there is a problem before that, which I don't expect. I think anyone who likes 1911's would really appreciate this pistol. I don't think that I am biased, but this is my eleventh Dan Wesson and I love everyone of them.

This gun was a great buy. The fit and tolerances are what you would expect. Have put 400 rounds of the 500 recommended factory ammo through it for the break in. So can't tell if there are any issues with hollow points or reloads. But all 400 rounds cycled without a hiccup. Not one FTF, or FTE. Very accurate gun, although rear sight needed adjustment. Little weird this wasn't set right from Dan Wesson. But it is adjustable and with just 4-5 clicks it was dead on. Had expert shooter fire it and he confirmed it is now set properly. I will prob replace the sights, or at least the front to fiber optic. But the trijicon sights are quality. The finish is great, and the slide release even has the idiot scratch notch added to it. Comes with nice case, lock, 2 very good mags. My wilson combats mags functioned flawlessly as well. The trigger is factory set to have a very small uptake, and breaks clean at 4.5 lbs and almost no follow. The uptake is adjustable and you could reduce the uptake entirely. I will prob get the trigger down to 3.25lbs with little work. But this gun is so solid and can't get better 1911 for the money, at least when i got it at $1,375. Even at $1,600 it is well worth it. Every part of this gun screams quality. No mim parts, V10 grips are very nice and the checkering is perfect. Very comfortable but provides sure grip. This is a great all purpose gun that can easily be modified for competition. Shout out to buds for providing a great product, shipped quickly woth no issues or hassles.

These are nice quality firearms and worth what they ask. My second Dan Wesson firearm and I am satisfied. buds had a sale on them when I bought which made it even better!

Very pleased with the gun. Was able to fire 2" groups from 25 yards, outside in real cold weather this winter, as I was very anxious to test out the gun. So far the gun has been reliable and accurate, right out of the box. Why spend so much money on a Les Baer or Ed Brown when you can get one of these for 1/2 the price and shoot just as accurate?

This pistol was bought sight unseen but I was not disappointed. The fit and finish is top notch. The slide to frame is tight without any binding. Cycling the action is extremely smooth. Trigger break is clean and crisp. Checking on the front and rear straps provide excellent grip. Sights are easy to pick up and considering that they are night sights, is an added bonus. Accuracy was spot on. At 15 yards, it was easy to have bullet holes touching each other. The Silverback is well balanced and fit my hand like a glove. The machining, fit, and looks are all superb and something I am proud to show others. I have a pair of Les Baers and the Dan Wesson Silverback is every bit as good at a reasonable price.

This pistol is fabulous and is superior to even my Les Baer 1911. Fit and finish is exceptional old world quality. I did a trigger job to reduce the trigger pull a bit and added a Wilson combat magazine as well as some custom target grip and now the Silverback is perfect for me. Considering the superior quality the pistol is a bargain from Bud's!

Wow...not only is the gun beautiful, and extremely tight, it shoots better than any firearm I own. The finish is immaculate, the trigger has a small amount of creep that ends in a delightfully crisp release with no over travel. The grips are very positive and with the checkering my hands did not move while firing. The sights are easy to pick up, and the gun has very high quality parts with no metal injection molded junk. This feel of this gun beats any Colt, Kimber, or Springfield I've ever handled. Buds were great to work.
