Awesome 22 rifle! Best shooting 22 I've ever shot. Great firearm!

Very good gun, the wood is absolutely beautiful and overall a very well made gun. Only problem was the front sight was canted just barely enough to notice, no problem.
But overall this is a full size gun designed for large adults, so probably would not be a good fit for younger shooters who require a short length of pull. But overall very pleased, runs all varieties of ammo without a hiccup and VERY accurate with iron sights, and it does come with full rifle sized sights that are very easy to see

It's absolutely beautiful. And it works. During the first firing I went back and forth from LR to Shorts, multiple brands, types and velocities with nary a hitch. My thanks to the good people in Ilion. The only negative is the design itself is not conducive to cleaning, but you cant have it all. Five stars from me.

First time My brand new Remington 552BDL was taken to the range, the forend fell off; that was during late August of 2014. Apparently, the retaining screw had been cross threaded or stripped during factory final assembly. My BRAND NEW rifle was returned to the Illion, NY Remington Factory, and later returned to me after a few weeks. Upon opening the carton, I couldn't believe My eyes......the entire rifle had been gouged with a knife, from muzzle to butt-plate, when someone at the factory unpacked it. I called every phone number for Remington Firearms that I could find on the internet, and a few days later, someone from the North Carolina Hdqtrs called Me, and requested the rifle to be returned to Illion, NY again. Sometime in January of the following year, (2015), a new rifle arrived, however, the stock wood was rather plain, as compared to My original rifle. To be fair, Remington had shipped the rifle to Me during mid-December 2014, however, I had already flown some 1400 miles away for the Holidays, and was not there to sign for the item. Bud's Gun Shop was very supportive through the warranty episode, and I did let them know what finally transpired. I have yet to use the replacement 552 BDL, it is still new in the box, and eventually, I'll sell it, or trade up to something better, maybe a new Remington 1100 shotgun.
