This is an awesome rifle and an awesome caliber. The gun is far more accurate than I am and is capable of producing quarter sized groups at 100 yards if you take your time on your shots. Mine really likes the Hornaday American Whitetail 139 gr ammo. Opening day of gun season, I harvested a HUGE 6 pointer with this rifle. He dropped where he stood with a high shoulder shot. Bullet passed through both shoulders and I was pleasantly surprised by how little damage there was to the meat. I’m probably going to buy another model 7 with a synthetic stock for all weather hunting :)

Beautiful rifle to look at and a great shooter. Put my first five shot group into a one inch square at 100 yards. Used the Barnes VOR-TX 120gr TTSX ammo. This rifle is a wonderful value!

This is the poorest functioning firearm of any type I have ever used. After 25 years in the military, and having used military firearms from a M1 Garand, M-14, .22 competition rifles, through to an M-4, I have never used such good looking pieces of crap as this log. If any army in the world ever went to combat with is, they would have been defeated out of hand. I have hunted with many bolt action rifles, and this is the lowest of the low. The old Springfield was more reliable. OK, so I had a qualified gunsmith work on it. No improvement. I sent it back to Remington for their workover. Still bad. New magazine spring...no better; polished feed ramp...no better; re-positioned magazine box...no improvement. All while using stock Remington ammo. It simply refuses to feed, chamber, and eject 4 rounds consistently. I am better off with my home-built muzzle-loader!

Out of the box. Fantastic!!! Great maple wood. Light feel. Really a great looking rifle. Cant wait to see how it shoots. Defintely worth it so far!!
