The Mossberg 590A1 Magpul Series 9-Shot 12 gauge shotgun features Magpul SGA stocks and MOE forends designed specifically for the Mossberg tactical shotguns. The SGA stock features a spacer system for LOP adjustment, offers improved grip ergonomics, a recoil-reducing buttpad and optional cheek riser for use wtih mounted optics or raised sights. The MOE forend features extended length and front/rear hand stops for control. It is fully compatible with MOE rails, mounts and accessories.

Purchased this 590A1 as a home defense gun and training with it has been a very fun experience! Hope to never need it for the reason it was purchased, but I have to say I have really enjoyed shooting it. This is a very reliable platform and the Magpul furniture makes the ergonomics of handling it so much better than it would be without it. This is not a light weight shotgun like my 500 Field/deer is, due to the heavy barrel, longer tube and higher magazine capacity but it’s not uncomfortably heavy to the point that it impacts fast target acquisition with practice. I’d definitely recommend this for anyone taking a tactical/defensive shotgun course or if you are looking for a reliable home defense option.

Compré la Mossberg 590A1 12GA y estoy sumamente satisfecho con la calidad y robustez del arma. Se nota de inmediato que es una escopeta diseñada para uso profesional y de servicio. El cañón pesado, el seguro metálico y la acción confiable hacen que se sienta extremadamente sólida y duradera. El rendimiento en el polígono ha sido impecable, con una alimentación y expulsión sin fallos. El retroceso es manejable y la ergonomía es muy buena, especialmente para sesiones prolongadas. Buds Gun Shop hizo un excelente trabajo con el proceso de compra y el envío por FFL fue rápido y sin inconvenientes. Definitivamente recomiendo tanto la escopeta como a Buds para futuras compras.

Mosberg's reputation precedes itself and this is no exception. Fine craftsmanship, super well built, and well packaged for shipping. Gun shoots flawlessly. Haven't put a huge amount of rounds through her yet, but great so far. This one came with the optics rail already installed and was a very true install. Had very little windage to dial in for a zero on the red dot. Buds did a great job shipping it out as always. Top notch firearm from a top notch company.

Purchased this for my very first shotgun. I did quite a bit of research and wanted the standard 590 initially, but started looking into the 590a1. I like the all metal construction. The trigger guard is metal and the tang safety is also metal. The only downside I've seen with the metal safety is that it takes a little more force than a standard safety to disengage or engage it. It's definitely an upside that it's an 8+1 shotgun even though it may not be needed in a home-defense situation. It's not as heavy as I've read, easy to maneuver, and the Magpul stock that is installed feels like a pistol grip while still giving you access to the tang safety with your thumb. The upgraded sights are always a plus, the picatinny rail is also nice to have in case you want to add an aftermarket optic onto the rifle. Lastly, this version of the 590a1 comes with the Magpul fore-end furniture that allows you to add an M-LOK stock to it. I added an angled grip for better pumps and more control with the recoil. Overall, this has been a great shotgun.

Have a Maverick and it’s just fine, this 590A1 is a whole other animal. Absolute beast of a shotgun. Have installed a red dot, combo laser light on forearm and Velcro shell cards on stock and receiver. It’s a tad heavy when fully loaded, I see so many post the same crap of ounces equal pounds pounds equal pain… blah blah blah. I ain’t walkin anywhere with the darn thing. I bought it so I could stay put and the hordes can move on. Mil Surplus M7 bayonet fits perfectly. Have heard of issues installing chi-com cheap-o bayonets, just pop on eBay and buy a surplus one if you feel the need to put a sticker on the end of yours
