The CZ 512 Tactical was a new addition for CZ in 2015. Teaming up with ATI allowed CZ to develop a tactical chassis for a semi-automatic rimfire platform. This particular version is chambered in the popular .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, known as .22 WMR, or often referred to as .22 Magnum. The 512 Tactical features a 16.5" Cold hammer forged barrel and the muzzle is threaded 1/2x28. It features a full length top picatinny rail which is perfect for mounting options. The 512 platform is compatible and uses the same reliable single stack magazines as the 455.

Love this semi automatic.22 magnum. It was the only available when I purchased this one other than the Savage model. This firearm performs very well. The only drawback, I can’t find a magazine with higher capacity. I ended up purchasing 3 more mags. Then, CZ discontinued this model and all of the components.

This is an awesome gun! I can't say enough positive things about it. It is very accurate, built very well and a pleasure to shoot. This is my third CZ product and I really love their quality and reliability.

So I ordered the CZ 512 Tactical to replace my Excel Arms 22 magnum rifle which jammed all the time (Jam-O-Matic), I knew that CZ was going to be different as I own multiple other CZ pistols and rifles. So when I received this 512 tactical rifle, I took it out to the range right away as my nerves were going from my last 22 magnum POS. Cleaned the barrel, shot 100 rounds right off the bat, zero FTF-FTE, not one problem with two different types of ammo. I have since taken it out three more times, about fifty rounds shot each time, in all 250 rounds I had 1-FTE, I'm thinking it was the federal ammo, it seems to not have the pop that CCI mini mag has. This rifle runs just fine, it also restored my faith in a 22 magnum rifle, the tactical version is solidly built, all metal rail, hand guard, receiver and barrel. The Barrel take a standard size muzzle break and the parts that are polymer are extremely solid, not flimsy at all. This rifle is a lot of fun to shoot, accurate and there are a good amount of after market accessories for it, Buds stood behind their life time warranty as well, that's what helped me get this rifle, the warranty process was quick and painless, as usual Buds service was awesome!

Bud's was the only vendor that had this particular model of gun listed "in-stock"; and I was nervous at first that "in-stock" might be a misleading claim since even my local CZ dealer said it could take weeks to receive an order for this model. It was a pleasant surprise to get a shipping confirmation the day after I placed my order, and a tracking number to my local FFL dealer. The gun arrived in new condition, original packing and all included documentation. My rifle came with the manufacturer's printout of a test fired group (3 rounds 50 metres_ 1"MOA). I have heard others claim that Bud's sells 'used' guns as 'new'; but that reviewer may not understand that some manufacturer's actually test fire production rifles for quality assurance. This particular rifle is a niche hunting tool allowing me to hunt hogs in the wildlife management areas of my home state during small game season-when only rimfire cartridges are allowed. Very happy with the transaction. I have not had a chance to use this rifle, but my purchase transaction was completed flawlessly. CZ is known for quality, and I also wanted a souvenir from Czech Republic after a recent visit.

Nice looking rifle. It arrived quickly. After 20-25 shots however the trigger stopped resetting and rifle would only fire if you manually ejected the last loaded shell (unfired) and loaded a new shell. It would fire and eject, then you needed to manually rack the slide, removing the new shell from the chamber, to reset the trigger. I called CZ and am waiting for a RMA and FedEx shipping label for warranty work. I googled this issue and it seems like it has happened to others also. These things happen, but it is disappointing.

This rimfire rifle exceeded my expectations. I purchased the rifle about two weeks ago and have fired about 350 rounds through it. The purpose is to use this rifle for hunting small game and feral hogs. The rifle comes with one 10 rd magazine and an owner’s manual. The CZ512 tactical 22WMR has a great feel and fit. The adjustable cheek piece and buttstock allow you to custom fit the gun to your optic and length of pull. The weight feels “medium” or “normal” but not ultralight or overly heavy. It is well balanced in the hand and the overall quality of the rifle and the attention to detail gives it a superior feel to carry. The main positives, or upsides, of the rifle is the accuracy and reliability. The accuracy was superb. It grouped 5shot 1/4in groups at 25yds and 1/2in groups at 50yds. No failures or stoppages. I shot several different 22 mags and 10 different loads in each rifle. The CZ had better groups with the same ammo with no feeding issues even when rapid firing. The couple of downsides is the you simply get one magazine; therefore, you will probably want to buy at least one more which are a bit pricey. Another, is that the trigger pull was a little long with a small amount of crunchy creep but mine smoothed out a whole lot after about 100 rounds through it. Now my trigger is great. If one wanted to mount a qd push button sling it is already built into the ati buttstock, but you will have to buy a mount to instal on the forearm. I would recommend this rifle to friends or family. It is accurate and fun to shoot. 22mag is back in stock most everywhere. It’s powerful without all the kick and noise and this gun carry’s well and shoots well.

My Grandson has taken to this rifle for all the right reasons; weight, easy recoil and effectively hits the bulls eye with little effort on his part. He can't wait to get a rabbit in its sights

This gun is awesome. Shoots straight and is very accurate. Buds is great and I will continue to do business with them. I have about 500 rounds through the gun and have had only 4 or 5 FTE WITH Winchester silver box ammo. Winchester dynapoint and aguila ammo ran flawless. I love this gun.
