The very popular CZ 527 now comes in a very convenient and smaller youth model for responsible shooting for the newest generation of the outdoors. The Youth Carbine features a 12.75" length of pull, smaller pistol grip with tighter radius, and a thinner forend that delivers little felt recoil compared to other youth model firearms. The rifle also features a smooth micro-Mauser action and single set trigger.

Great deer round and smooth action Compact package

I was quite happy with this rifle till today. I bought this beautiful little rifle that my kid could comfortably use as a hunting rifle almost exactly one year ago. It was never dropped, never abused, and stored in a gun safe except for the 5-6 times we've had it out to go shooting. Then today the stock split in my 9 year old's hands while he was firing it. This was routine firing, fewer than a hundred rounds through the rifle with standard ammunition. I've started a warranty repair, so we'll see what happens next. But I'm genuinely disappointed. Pretty sure I'm going to ask for a synthetic replacement stock. I don't want to make a habit of this.

I bought this Youth model spring 2019! I have only one issue! The mag it came with did not feed well. I looked up some internet fixes and pulled the spring, bent it and away i went! Otherwise I bought it to plink with cheap steel ammo and possibly hunt with.

Small, light, and gorgeous looking, the CZ 527 Youth Carbine in 7.62x39 is exactly what I had hoped it would be. The action is smooth, and becomes smoother after a quick wipe down of the bolt with CLP. The recoil was a bit surprising to me, having only fired the 7.62x39 from an AK, but it was quite manageable. I put 40 rounds down range on the first outing before I began to feel a little sore. For the average user, using it for hunting, this should not be a problem at all. The front fiber optic sight is good and bright, and the sight picture is easy to reacquire for follow-up shots. This is a great little rifle in a very economical cartridge.

I won the lottery with this rifle, an incredible piece of walnut with radiating curly figure turning the butt stock into a piece of art! The metal is very nice fit and finished as I was expecting from a CZ. My first and definitely not my last rifle from this company. Buds was very easy to deal with online and I will order from them again.

Awesome rifle. Beautiful walnut stock. Windage adjustable 2-dot rear sight and elevation adjustable front fiber optic sight. Set trigger is a hoot! Rifle is accurate with open sights. I like a rifle with a short LOP, and this one fits me very nicely! Great experience with Bud's online purchase and use of preferred FFL. As close to click and go as it gets. Got a call from the FFL just a couple of days later telling me "it's here".

Very nice rifle!! Now my wife owns one just like mine but fit to her, she is about 5' 4" and the youth or "compact" fits her like a glove. We chose to use our's with iron sites and it will still group minute of deer at 200 yards, not bad for 20 cents a round. Very nice rifle, a little pricey but the fact is you can shoot a full run through this rifle (6 shots) for about the cost of a single round of .308 , whats not to like about that. Thanks much buds guns.

    Devan, yes Sir, this rifle features the "Single Set Trigger" System. The SST allows for both a standard hunting trigger and a light target trigger in the same rifle. By operating the rifle in the same manner as any other bolt-action, the trigger is in the “standard” mode with the heavier of the two trigger pulls. By simply pushing the trigger forward until it “clicks” the crisp and light target trigger mode is set.The standard trigger is adjustable for weight, creep and over-travel. The set trigger function is only adjustable for weight, but always breaks like glass.
