Colt 1911…. what else is there to say? GFG!!!

thank you all so much. This is my first 1911 and it got here on time for my bday, super happy with the product and with the customer service at buds. I really appreciate you all! The 1911 is great of course, I haven’t got to shoot it yet but the barrel has little to no play at all and fitment and finishing are tight and look fantastic. Beautiful handgun search everywhere for it. The price was just right at buds. I work at a gun shop and even there I was not able to get it at the price that I did with buds. Received within a few days of purchase in it.

Do not buy from buds .... beautiful gun .... cheaper elsewhere...wish I got from Kentucky gun

I've had several Gold Cups over the years and they were all nice. When the grip safety is depressed it sticks in, it has very sharp edges, all of the controls are hard and gritty and I'm guessing the trigger pull is around 8lbs. I've got cheap 1911's that are way better.

Great gun, well built and tight. 1 1/2" Group at 15 yards. No failures in the first 100 rounds using 130 grain Blazer FMJ ball. I did ghange the grips just because I'm old school and only use wood or real ivory, the grips that came with it have a better hold with them. Colt just makes a beautiful gun.

It's a COLT, what else to say. only critique: the serial number is printed slightly askew to the frame which may be a unique defect peculiar to this specific gun and is a minor cosmetic defect, but still bothers me a little. If not for that 5 stars.

This is the finest 1911 that money can buy. The finish and quality are unmatched! Only thing that should be clarified is: This comes with one 7 round magazine. Final note if you have previously purchased a Gold Cup Trophy, this 1911 does not include low pressure spring, second magazine and wrench. That being said, I love Colt Gold Cups!

This was my first time buying a gun online and the experience was very good. Bud's made the process very streamlined and their UI was easy to navigate through. With that being said, the time it takes can be on the long side so you have to be prepared for a lengthy pause. I did not know this going in and it was just slightly frustrating because I needed the pistol the week before I actually received it for pistol Comp tryouts. I was forced to use my older Springfield Armory 1911's which was given to me years ago. I did, however make the tryouts for my local club but I wish it could have been avoided with the pistol I ordered. I don't fault Bud's for this because its probably inherent to the way the online gun buying system is setup. Other than that, I got the gun, and it was factory new and beautiful. I would highly recommend Bud's over anybody else simply for the reason i haven't tried any other online gun store. Just be sure you know that it does take about 7 to 10 days before you actually get the gun from your FFL.
