The gun is top tier, as expected from Henry. Being said, this review is regarding bud’s guns. I have order 7 guns from this sight over the last 6 years, and I can’t imagine buying from somewhere else. Received my 3030 Henry from Buds guns and took it to the range and it was perfectly sighted in. All my friends that I showed this to would like to have one.

This is a wonderful firearm looks great it’s so good looking not sure if I want to shoot it.

Took it to the range with 150g Remington Core Lokt and got about 2.5 moa. The rifle is capable of better for sure. Old man's eyes and buckhorn sights do not scream accuracy. Action is smooth, side gate loads without pinching your skin, well balanced, and the wood is beautiful. Fit between receiver and stock is flush. Haven't broken it down but the videos make it look easy. Would recommend.

Zero complaints. Another incredible Henry lever action. Trigger is amazing. The rifle is quite heavy, but helps with recoil. I’m not a big fan of the half buckhorn sight so I threw a ghost ring on mine. I love my 30-30.

This is it! This rifle has been on my wish list for many years. Always wanted a 30-30 though decided to wait for a Henry. Absolutely everything I expected. The Henry 30-30 is a beautiful rifle with a very smooth lever action... there is nothing like a lever action rifle, especially a Henry. Taking it deer hunting then going on the wall. Ordering from Buds was easy and delivery to my FFL was very prompt as usual. Could not wait to finally get my hands on it. Thanks Buds!

I can't comment on accuracy. I haven't fired it yet. I expect it to be as accurate as my Marlins. I'm impressed with the art and craftsmanship of this lever gun. From the mirror like gleam of the brass to the beautiful engraved walnut furniture. The action is smooth and slick. This is a collectors piece. One you can pass on. This is my first Henry. It won't be my last.

Forgot I asked to be alerted about this rifle back in June but when the e-mail came in that 8 were suddenly available, I grabbed one immediately.
The finish is classic Henry. Shiny brass and laser engraving will drive my cousins nuts out of envy! 30-30 ammo is hard to come by during election time but hoping to find some soon.
Buds was such a pleasure to deal with as well. No-nonsense processing and delivery was quicker than I expected.

Typical Henry, outstanding quality and smooth operation, easy scope mounting(with the extra cost rail). Wish they would make a Henry side loader with a straight grip stock, actually wish they would make a blue single shot with a straight grip stock. I hate to take the brass even to the range, fraid I might scratch it, thinking of getting it cera coated so I wont worry. Other than those minor picks, this is the best lever gun I have ever owned, one of the only lever guns I can work the action from my frail 77 year old shoulder with my 77 year old arthritic hands.

I have not fired this rifle as of this review, however, the fit and finish of this Henry 30/30 is beautiful. The action has the feel of a well machined weapon. I have no doubt in its ability to perform. The side gate is what drew me to this lever action. Personally I would not have a lever action without the side gate. Love this Henry !

My new Henry 30-30 side-gate is amazing. I just can’t say enough about it. The action is so smooth and it is a pleasure to shoot. In my process of buying this gun I was effortless. Everything in the buying process went seamlessly. I cannot recommend Buds Gun Shop enough.

I have always been a Winchester owner with my favorite rifle being the Model 94 with the 30-30 caliber. Matter of fact I shot my first Deer when I was 13 with my Dads 94. A friend of mine was telling me about Henry rifles. He and his Dad were so fond of them I had to take a look at one. I first looked on-line doing some research then decided to take a look at the new side gate Henry in the 30-30 caliber. Mainly because it was most similar to my Winchester Model 94. My friend and I went to Buds in Lexington to check it out. It's a very good looking rifle with a beautiful walnut engraved stock and very smooth action. I also enjoyed the brass finish on the receiver, butt plate and barrel band. Size and weight are very similar to the 94, but the Henry was a much better looking rifle. With the addition of side gate loading to compliment their traditional tubular magazine, that is much easier and safer to load and unload, I believe Henry is spot on and ready to compete directly with the Winchester Model 94. Great Job Henry!!
