Excellent. a bit involved to fully break down/ reassemble but It's worth it. The weapon functions flawlessly and honestly, I always dis/reassemble every new firearm 3x in a row immediately in order to memorize the process. The lop is a bit short for even my 5'9'' 160 lb stature, but i just made my own spacer and swapped for longer screws on the butt pad. Not handy? buy a slip on or wrap over butt pad. Nevermind the macho 12ga zealots. 20 is effective enough in most situations, ammo is lighter, and your lady can operate it without blowing her breasts off.

besides the matt finish no difference between this and standard 500 , save your money and just buy a 500

What can I say. It is a Mossberg 590 and meets the well earned reputation. This is a slightly smaller version of Mossberg's 12 gauge. It is a little more handy to handle and maneuver than the 12 gauge. The felt recoil is noticeably less than the 12 gauge. The ghost ring sights work very well. The sights are easy to acquire. The quality and versatility of the firearm make it an excellent choice and value for the money.

I am a little recoil sensitive so 12 ga guns are a no no for me. This gun is a great option for you if you don't like so much recoil in your gun. It is also powerful enough, just less pellets. Short so you can handle it better in reduced spaces, good capacity, great sights and very light, and with the great Mossberg tradition in shotgun making. If you are looking for a 20 ga for home defense that can perform also in the outdoors, this is a great option, affordable too, thanks Buds! You wont regret getting one.

Best shotgun you could ever own, shot remington slugs and rio buckshot slugs hit 2" high at 25 yards buckshot excellent pattern at 25 yards as well, for the shotgun worked flawlessly, sights right on out of the box and a whole lot lighter than the weight of a12 gauge , you can't go wrong with a mossberg 590 20 gauge great purchase.

I own the 12 gauge version of this and the 20 gauge is noticeably lighter and handier.
