These are good, reliable, soft-recoiling, accurate rounds for my J-frame 642! Looking at penetration and expansion data, they are clearly not designed to be barrier blind or to penetrate well through heavy winter coats and clothing, but they should serve well during the hot summer months when most threats are likely going to be wearing light clothing, and when I'm most likely to choose a small J-frame for concealment over my normal EDC Hi-Power. Performance looks good even out of a snub nose barrel, which is crucial. The light bullet mitigates the usually rough recoil of +P ammo in a snub nose revolver. The rounds have proven to be pretty accurate to my sight picture, which is very convenient for a gun that you may use under stressful conditions; you don't have to adjust for any discrepancies on the fly. I'd highly recommend these for the circumstances I mention above, though I would definitely move to something else like the FBI load (158gr LSWCHP +P) if you're dedicated to carrying a 38 snub nose in the winter months, as those generally perform better against heavy clothing barriers.

Excellent quality and great as a defensive ammo

This is excellent self-defense ammo shoots topoint of aim at 10 yards in my Smith & Wesson 340 PD scandium frame snubbie. recoil is very manageable and because it’s Buds I got it fast and at a great price ,will definitely be ordering more

I have not fired any of these rounds yet, but I am quite pleased with the design of the projectile as well as the price. I have had trouble finding this type of bullet at a reasonable price.

Federal's Personal Defense Punch is a threat stopper in any handgun caliber. Penetration is deep, whether in gel or through thick clothing. Very reliable ammo.
