My rifle was sent from Buds to my local FFL holder well-packed in excellent condition. I chose the Henry Big Boy Steel in .44 Rem Mag because I had a .44 Rem Mag revolver that used the same ammo. I was a little skeptical of a lever action rifle with a thick rubber recoil pad on the butt stock (not real traditional). After a good cleaning, I was off to the range to try out this rifle. After shooting a couple of magazines of factory Winchester 240 gr. magnum loads, I began to appreciate the rubber recoil pad. The rifle's action was a little stiff at first, but smoothed up the more I shot. .44 Mag rounds were easy to load in the side gate. Accuracy was very good for the distances I was shooting. I look forward to shooting this rifle on my next trip to the range. Doing business with Buds was easy and I really appreciated the e-mail updates on the status of my order and when my rifle was shipped.

I purchased a new Henry 44 mag with side gate this rifle is awesome I put a sign Sauer 4+12+44 scope on it and at 100 yards the holes touch .buds had my 44 mag when everyone else is out of stock. Thanks buds ,,,
