Absolutely incredible gun. 1400 is a bit pricey and I missed out when all the armory were selling them in the 800 range. THANK GOD for Buds! I was perusing their site and found that they still had it available in the 800 range. Lay a way saved the day. Took me the full 90 days but worth it. I have never owned a pistol that is an absolute co witness. That dot sits perfectly in the center of my fiber front and that's zeroed at 36 yards. This experience recruited me to Team Buds and I already have more hard to find fire arms on layaway. 5 stars all the way

I expect high quality from FN and I was not disappointed. The only thing they could improve is the trigger. Overall, I am very pleased.

Excellent out of the box accuracy with factory ammo. Felt recoil feels less than my other 9's. I was able to hold it on target and experienced minimal muzzle rise. As far as I'm concerned it was money well spent. The only issue I found is that a full mag wouldn't drop free and only dropped about halfway. Empty mags fell free.

Being retired military and a ex law enforcement firearms instructor I have fired a LOT of different types of weapons. That being said, right out of the box the FN 509 LS Edge is the best balanced and best overall shooting sidearm I have ever come across. It has a bit of a heavy trigger and long pull but now that I am used to it, I actually prefer it to my Glock and Sig. Although it comes with a slightly flared mag well, I went to a local machine shop with a C&C machine and had them make me a slightly larger version for more flare. Also ended up mounting a Trijicon RMR red dot co-witnessed with the suppressor height sights that came stock on this model. I now use this weapon for competitions and any training I get called to do. To date I have put at least 1500 rounds through with 0 issues. The Covid pricing is a little high but considering you are getting a competition ready weapon, it is worth it. In a SHTF situation, I am grabbing 3 weapons, my AR, My Scorpion Evo, and my FN 509 LS Edge.
