it is a magazine. you put ammo in it and it has worked properly by putting them into the pistol. I would buy this brand again.

The magazine works well now. But when I contacted Taurus about a replacement part for it, they stated they do not supply parts for the magazine or that model gun. All such replacements require a return to the factory for repair which may or may not be included under warranty. Hopefully these facts wil be helpful to buyers and be acceptable.

I purchased this magazine for a couple GX4 and GX4XL pistols I bought elsewhere. Good news / Bad news:The magazine works great! The bad news is you cannot buy an extra spring our other parts if and when they wear out. In fact, Taurus does not actually support their GX4 line. I found out when I cleaned the gun and lost the little spring for the extractor. They do NOT supply such parts as extractor, or associated parts for the GX4, not even to gunsmiths. They said it would not be covered by warranty either. SO you must ship the guns (at your expense) to the factor where they will repair it with needed parts (at your expense) and ship it back to you (at your expense). For a self defense weapon that should should practice with regularly you can expect such things as extractors to be worn at around 5,000 rounds. So the gun is what I consider a "throw-away" gun, since it is not readily repairable..

Nice upgrade for my Taurus GX4. Would have bought the 15 round magazine but unfortunately it wasn't in stock.

Wish it was textured on the front, but seems to be reliable

Just the right size to add a couple of rounds and fit larger hands.

Really like the extended 13 round mag. While the 11 round mags are good, I get a much better feel with my entire little finger all the way on the grip. Nice mag.
