This is the smoothest .45 I’ve ever shot. Absolutely beautiful pistol. Shoots super flat. More accurate than my race guns I use for competition. Way more practical than the MK23. Built like a tank. 5 stars!

A nice handgun- but not perfect. I bought it because I like target pistols and wanted one in 45 caliber. Also, I wanted a single action trigger. Let’s talk about the “match trigger.” It’s got a great deal of take-up and I was able to eliminate over travel with the trigger set screw. My trigger breaks at 4.0 pounds. Hardly a match or target poundage. I’m a little disappointed with that. The rested accuracy is good but not target grade. It’s harder for me to shoot off hand due to the trigger pull. Therefore, only 4 stars.

Why did I choose a Hk .45 ACP EXPERT? Because they don’t make a .46 ACP and two shots is a waste! This is without the BEST ALL AROUND .45 on the market… get one now because new production of this model isn’t a constant.., ENOUGH SAID!

I will admit that I love HKs, but this gun definitely earns that love. It is 100% reliable and very accurate. The trigger takes a little getting used to though. It isn't a Glock trigger and it is not a 1911 trigger either. Just different, but still good once you figure it out.

Nice large frame with expected HK quality fit, feel and function

H&K USP 45 Expert: Have only had this for a month, but I find it to be an excellent firearm so far. Had done a great deal research on the USP models, and this has definitely matched all the positive reviews I have found. Right on accurate out the box. The slide is incredibly smooth and quite possibly the easiest to manipulate of the semi-autos I have. I have a preference for ambidextrous controls and the Expert is only missing a right side slide release to be complete. Not really a negative as I can manipulate it well enough either right or left handed. I have been a "fan" of the European paddle mag release since first experiencing it. Wished all others firearm manufactures had that option as well. The ambidextrous safety/decocker is a treat & functions well. Was looking for a large caliber, long barrel, external hammer fired semi-auto as a secondary woods handgun and the USP 45 Expert will suit that purpose just right. Also wanted a .45 caliber and the capability of the USP to handle high pressure rounds is a bonus. I wear extra large gloves and this gun fits my hands just right. The extra large trigger guard is also glove friendly for those chilly days. For me, the features and history of the USP models checked most all of the boxes and I find it worth the price. This firearm will most likely be a favorite of favorites.

Fantastic gun at a great price. At first I could not believe how much extra value was packed in with this purchase. Buy the USP Expert model if you can. For only a few dollars over the standard USP you get adjustable target sights, a longer barrel and slide and an adjustable trigger stop. Also included in the box were two standard capacity magazines as well as a nice tool kit for adjusting the sights and trigger, 4 extra barrel o-rings, as well a double-action only conversion plate and also a USP Compact flush-fitting hammer. H&K factory parts aren't cheap and I was impressed with how many extras were included in the price of the gun. If you're like me and you've loved the H&K Mk 23 for the better part of thirty years, but just could not bring yourself to spend that kind of money on a gun, get this instead. It will satisfy 99% of the urge to own the bigger Mk 23 at a half to a third of the price and you'll get a gun that's a bit more practical in size/use (and I hear with a better trigger as well). Shipping from Bud's was very quick: ordered on a Sunday and was delivered on Wednesday. No complaints whatsoever. A great order experience overall and would absolutely buy again. Would rate 6 stars if I could. Or 10.
