Works perfectly as ordered!! Nice!

Really like this gun. Fun to shoot. Love the way it looks.

I bought this revolver for my 10year old son for Christmas. He was asking for a revolver and this looked liked a good looking starter. The single action is safer for beginner shooters and this gun comes with a additional safety in addition to the half cock position. We have been out to the range a couple times since Christmas and he's sending them down range. Frozen water bottles and spray paint cans never stood a chance. The smile on his face tells all. I bought this gun as a last minute gift. Buds specified it would get to me before Christmas and it did. With time to spare. They really are on top of shipping. The gun is so affordable and its a instant smile maker. The grips are coming loose but I'll just tighten the screw with some loctite and continue to use it till we wear out the barrel. Arrived in good condition. Fit and finish are great. Instructions for getting the cylinder in and out could be better. Hammer pull is pretty stiff, but it is still new.
It is very nicely balanced, has a good, solid feel. I haven't shot it yet, but I will try to put in a new review after I do.

Took the Rough Rider out to the range for the first time. I like it. Functions well. Sounds and feels solid. Accuracy is what you would expect from a non adjustable iron sight. It is very reasonable considering.
The only problem was the flag grips. They wore off in one session. They look like a 50 year old gun with hard usage. I could scrape the paint of with my fingernail. After a looooooong hold for Heritage they agreed to replace the panels and say that yes they have had an issue with some of them. They tell me the new ones will not have the same problem. I await replacements.
The rest of the finish looks good.
If you are looking for an inexpensive but well make plinker I think you will like it.

First, the price, service and shipping from Bud's was first-rate. As usual.
This is a pretty nifty little gun at a very reasonable price. The Heritage Rough Rider revolvers don't have beautifully polished, perfect finishes. But they work. And they work well at a price that's about 25% of what the big-name guns cost. Mechanically this little gun works well. It even has a safety and that, in my opinion, makes it a great choice for lots of first-time shooters, young and old.
I already own this gun in the 6.5" version. Mine also has a .22WMR cylinder that dropped right into my new gun and worked perfectly. I wanted this one for the shorter barrel and the flag grips. I think it looks great.
As a little plinker that's just for fun this thing is pretty hard to beat for the price. I'm very happy with it.

First of all this is not a bad review of Buds...it is the actual Rough Rider.22 revolver. To be clear it is not even a bad review of the entire firearm itself. The pistol was nice, grips no quite as nice as on the 61/2 ' version for some reason. The main problem was the groove part of the sight was a real manufacturing defect. The left side of the grove was nearly non existent and aiming was impossible. The actual function or the firearm was perfect, fun to shoot at the range. Not being a revolver owner I had not inspected the grove as well as I should have I guess, but better QA in the factory would have eliminated this.

Just picked up my Revolver from my FFL. Well made nice finish. Smooth action. The Flag grips give the revolver a very nice look. Ordered the 22wmr drum from Heritage arms can not wait to go plinking.

Everything excellent about this firearm. Shoots accurate, smooth action, great finish. At these prices, can afford many more and shoot just as nice as other higher priced six-shooters.
