nice gun! Light weight. Very easy to conceal. Love the balance of it! Love that it’s small and compact but big caliber.

Terrific choice for a large caliber smaller pistol. This is not any larger than some of mt compact carry pistols and lighter than some! Not very snappy but a lot of firepower in a small package. Slightly slower shipping, but a fair price and great quality.

bought this for a carry gun because of the size and weight. Being in a wheelchair it is perfect to hide and weights alot less than my steel 1911.Had one before and love the way shoot

Once again Buds makes this purchase a breeze! This 45acp by Springfield Armory is a great EDC. I have put several brands of ammo through this gun and all have functioned flawlessly. Lightweight and narrow frame make it perfect to conceal. No imprint. Thanks to Buds for getting this in my possession super fast with no hitches.

I owned the XDS from the 2010’s and couldn’t resist picking the mod 2 OSP up. It’s one of my favorite carry guns of all time. I couldn’t buy this in 9mm. If I did I’d feel like I bought a 1911 in 9mm, just something would be strange about it. This guns handles .45 ACP like a champ. My Colt Defender in .45 ACP and my Mod 2 OSP .45 ACP are amazing carry weapons. The rebate for the extra mags and range bag just are the deal even better. Thanks Buds

Yep been a bit on this one but what a fine little 45! Bucks like a dang mule and hurts the hand after 100 rounds or so but small, powerful, and accurate. Just what I wanted.

Bought this gun on a recommendation from my stepfather, and am so glad that I did! It shoots well with a recoil that’s surprisingly easy to manage for a subcompact in 45 acp.

It's a 45 acp in a pretty small package so I expected a lot of recoil. I was pleasantly surprised. While you know you're pushing a big bullet out of a short barrel it isn't bad at all. I added a CT red dot and it's good to go.

a bit snappy as is, but with Talon grips made it so much easier to shoot.

very nice pistol shot really well the only thing I have a problem with is the recoil is really hard however it is a small pistol of .45 caliber you have to handle that.

This is the 2nd Springfield 45 acp that I've owned. The previous was the double magazine, higher capacity Mod 2 and was a little too thick to carry concealed easily. This one is perfect and about 5 ounces lighter. Both guns have functioned flawlessly with all types of ammo: practice hardball, hollow point, and even shotshells. This gun is extremely accurate, as was the previous one. If anyone complains about accuracy, it's their shooting ability, not the firearm. I requalified for my CCW with a perfect score - all 10's and half of those 10x's. There is some recoil - more so than a 1911, but it's not bad and the barrel doesn't jump up if gripped properly - I find the trigger on this one an improvement and probably just right for concealed carry. This gun is an improvement in that it has a round in the chamber indicator. You can see the rim of the case and don't have to do a press check. This gun no longer has the "grip zone" writing on the grip, but pretty much the same grip. I like both of the magazines about the same. With loading as a +1 you up the capacity to 6 and 7 depending upon the magazine. I like the grip safety and have had no problem with it being activated or deactivated when shooting or carrying. I've found it convenient to reholster by pushing into a holster on the back of the slide, rather than the grip area(and depressing the grip safety), thus adding another level of safety to this step, which is reassuring. The gun takes down and reassembles easily. I'm the type that field strips the gun before shooting to make sure it's lubricated and there isn't any metal floating around inside. Every Springfield Armory gun that I have disassembled right out of the box has been spotless, lightly lubricated, and ready to shoot. I am very impressed with this firearm and manufacturer. It's a keeper!

Of all the micro pistols I have carried for CC, this pistol is my hands down favorite. I unfortunately sold my original model XDS 45 and regretted it for many years. This pistol while being small and limited in capacity is pretty accurate and 5 +1 or 6+1 of 45 acp is NOT under gunned. I decided to purchase this newer model XDS and I am glad I did. I took it out to test today and I am still surprised at how accurate it is. I feel very confident at placing shots where I want them with this pistol. Recoil is more of a thump than a sharp snap but still fun to shoot. It is cool rocking steel with such a small pistol, the 45 does it's thing for sure. After about 50 rounds my hand was a little shaky but it is hard to stop shooting the XDS. Fed and fired everything flawless. 50 rounds of fmj and 20 rounds of HP without issue. Sights are just ok. Original model XDS came with a fiber optic front sight but this new model has a white dot front and blacked out rear. Still debating on adding an optic or not. The sights work just fine for me for up close uses. Don't sleep on this pistol just bc of it's small size and low capacity compared to other micro pistols. It is a reliable, accurate and fun pistol. I highly recommend.

Great compact pistol with good out of the box controls. Despite its small size it fits in my hand very well, and is easily controlled while firing. Prompt shipping/status updates from Buds as usual.

I purchased the XDS Mod 2 as an additional conceal carry. The trigger is crisp and the weapon shoots nice. The sights work fine, but only the front sight has a white dot. The rear sights are solid black. I am going to upgrade the sights. I recommend purchasing an additional 6 round extended magazine. I don’t use the 5 round mag anymore. Overall, I really enjoy this gun at the range, but it does pack a strong punch. If you are not used to firing 45 ACP, this XDS Mod 2 has the strongest recoil of all my 45s.

Great firearm, easy to conceal, very accurate and functions flawlessly. Great knock down power. It's a great asset to my everyday carry. Springfield is tops.

Light weight and lighter and smaller than the 9mm XDE. Easily fits in the pocket but will print.
I am not a fan of the grip safety and miss the traditional hammer. The shorter mag leaves part of my pinky finger loose so I have to make sure my grip is solid but the larger mag makes it tougher to conceal in my pocket.
It is a good gun but would opt for a traditional safety. Not sure if I would buy again but only because of personal preferences and not because there was anything wrong with the gun

I love this 45 Springfield gun not to heavy just perfect to carry it .
If you want a reliable concealed carry gun this is the one, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent for concealed carry, the weight is perfect, let me tell you is a powerful and loud went fire is a .45, The only thing that not affect the rating is that theres no ext mag for the moment hope arrive soon and i regret not order the one with the crimson trace optic now i have to spend money to order apart.. But overall is my new carry gun. Excellent product.
