Springfield armory XDS mod 2 .45 cal I had the mod 1 xds and sold it .I kicked my self for doing that. Ok I’ll buy another one nobody had one except Buds gun Shop. Ordered the mod 2 .45cal a couple of days it was at my local gun shop. No problems it was even cheaper than any other gun shop, and free shipping. They were great , one of the best gun purchases I have done. Also the gun shoots great ,It does kick like a mule but I knew that having owned one . Thanks again to Buds , they are one of the best.

I purchased this to replace my every day carry. I was finally able to get it out to the range and ensure it was sighted in. I installed the Holosun EPS Carry Red 2 MOA optics. The optics fit perfectly with the included mounting plate. The XD-S performed flawlessly. Admittedly I only put 100 rounds through it. I would not expect a new gun to fail with only 100 rds. Recoil was manageable. I'm a good size fellow with XXL paws for hands. So, it was easy to manage the recoil. I was a little surprised at the trigger pull. It was a little longer and a little stiffer than expected. In all fairness, my other .45 ACP is a Kimber Aegis Elite. So, it may not be a fair comparison. It came with both a 5 rd magazine and a 6 rd magazine. With my large hands, I prefer the 6 rd magazine as it allows me to get all of my fingers on the grip. For a .45 ACP, it is actually fairly easy to conceal. I purchased a Fobus pancake holster with it which does the job nicely. I also am an avid motorcyclist and belong to a couple Veteran riding groups. It easily fits in the pocket of my various CCW vests. If somebody were to look intently, they would see something printing in the pocket. But, if they are not looking, they would not know it was there. Overall, I would recommend this as a nice CCW firearm. It has the knockdown power of the .45 ACP. It is fairly easy to conceal. And meets the requirements of some states for less than 10 rd magazine capacity.

This is a good gun if you want your hand to feel like its breaking every time you fire a shot.

buds ordering process flawless as usual. I was prepared for a lot of muzzle jump for such a large caliber and such a short barrel but I was surprised how manageable the recoil was. Pistol ran flawlessly with factory ammo, my hand loads and fed hollow points with no issue, would recommend the XDS 45.

Nice little slammer, packs a real punch. I have a few poly Springfield's and I love them all. Very nice utility weapons. XDS 45 has a small grip for big hands so the extended mag is a must but all in all I'm very pleased. Bud's comes through again but I have yet to see lightning fast shipping but a week to 10 days is pretty fair.

Terrific choice for a large caliber smaller pistol. This is not any larger than some of mt compact carry pistols and lighter than some! Not very snappy but a lot of firepower in a small package. Slightly slower shipping, but a fair price and great quality.

bought this for a carry gun because of the size and weight. Being in a wheelchair it is perfect to hide and weights alot less than my steel 1911.Had one before and love the way shoot

I owned the XDS from the 2010’s and couldn’t resist picking the mod 2 OSP up. It’s one of my favorite carry guns of all time. I couldn’t buy this in 9mm. If I did I’d feel like I bought a 1911 in 9mm, just something would be strange about it. This guns handles .45 ACP like a champ. My Colt Defender in .45 ACP and my Mod 2 OSP .45 ACP are amazing carry weapons. The rebate for the extra mags and range bag just are the deal even better. Thanks Buds

Yep been a bit on this one but what a fine little 45! Bucks like a dang mule and hurts the hand after 100 rounds or so but small, powerful, and accurate. Just what I wanted.

Bought this gun on a recommendation from my stepfather, and am so glad that I did! It shoots well with a recoil that’s surprisingly easy to manage for a subcompact in 45 acp.

It's a 45 acp in a pretty small package so I expected a lot of recoil. I was pleasantly surprised. While you know you're pushing a big bullet out of a short barrel it isn't bad at all. I added a CT red dot and it's good to go.

a bit snappy as is, but with Talon grips made it so much easier to shoot.
