Purchased this gun a couple of weeks ago, and just got back from my first run at the range. This gun is excellent. The FDE looks really cool (the guy at my lgs doing the FFL transfer commented on it). Comes with 2 mags, cable lock, 3 backstraps, and 2 slim mag baseplates you can swap out for the flared ones. Lightweight and very accurate. The sights are easy to see and align quickly. I saw someone online complaining about the accuracy of the XDM Elite 10mm barrels, and I have no clue why. Maybe "end user error"? I am no marksman, but got 2 to 4 inch groupings at 10 yards once I got used to the gun. It was definitely more accurate than my 5-inch RIA 1911. This thing was 100% reliable. I had no FTF/FTE's when firing slow and fast (can't say the same for my Rock Island), and the slide locked back on empty mag every time. This was with "regular" 10mm rounds (Magtech and Winchester White Box 180grn FMJ), as well as heavy-duty "full power" loads (Underwood Hardcast 200 grn, Underwood Xtreme Penetrators and Defenders, and Buff Bore Heavy Monometal Dangerous Game). Given the polymer frame, this gun did jump more than my 1911 when firing, but it wasn't painful or startling, and I could have shot it all day no problem. It comes with different backstraps you can change out, depending on you hand size. Even with the smallest backstrap, the grip is bigger than I am used to. I probably have medium-sized hands? In order to hold it firmly, my thumb could not align with the "thumb channel" (?) on the left side of the grip. This wasn't a big deal, and it still felt like I was able to hold it securely. Some 10mm pistols can be difficult to rack, but this one was easy. However, the slide was a little difficult to release with just one finger. It is possible this will get easier with use. One of the best features is how easy this gun is to disassemble. Simply lock back the slide, flip up the takedown lever, and push the slide forward. The barrel and spring come out and go back in I couldn't believe it. This is in comparison to much cursing, nashing of teeth, and shaking my fist at the heavens when trying to take apart and reassemble my bushingless 1911. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this gun, at least after one trip to the range, so take that with a grain of salt. Ready for my next trip to bear country! On another note, Bud's was great to buy from. Before buying, an alert popped up notifying me that this gun would take longer to ship than usual. I bought it anyway, and it was shipped out two days later, and got to my FFL 4 days after purchasing it. Not too shabby 😁.
