Bought this as more of a collector's gun as I am a Bond geek. I do like the balance of this gun made possible by switching out the grip pieces. Great ocerall quality and the accuracy is spot on.

This review of the Walter p99 fe(final edition) Is the as variant of the pistol as translates to anti stress. A consideration with the way the trigger breaks the p99 has arguably the pest striker fired trigger in the industry just ask canik as their popular fire arms are clones of walther. The trigger is predictable and phenomenal, the anti stress feature work in conjunction with the the slide mounted decocker , the pistol operates on a high level with the gross motor control that’s required for duty type usage.with the placement of the slide release it’s intuitive but is one more manual of arms to learn to be really effective. It has a longish trigger pull but not egregiously so, The trigger guard accommodates gloved hands .The as trigger stages it can go straight to the wall needing only a small amount of pressure to ignite a round , pressing the decocker resets the heavy double action trigger its heavy for a reason as they make sure your intention is to shoot after the first trigger break the single action trigger has a super short reset making follow-up shots a thing of beauty. The pistols small size and excellent ergonomics make for a fantastic concealed carry option finding a good holster is key to support your carrying a pistol in the first place, but this pistol is more than likely designed to be concealed carried. The mechanical accuracy of the pistol is outstanding. As well as loaded chamber indicator and cocked striker indicator and enough hallmarks to make any one never question your decisions. It comes with a case pelican like with a challenge coin the color is the only thing I wish was different sniper grey and black or all black. Or stainless steel slide Over all it is a great gun with no real knocks against it with the market saturated with Glock clones , 2011’s and single action pistols, the swan song of the p99 after decades of service Is a performance worth seeing, all good things must come to an end, even when they are this good !

When I was a youngster my first 'gun' was a little bb pistol modeled after a Walther p99. I had always wanted a real one since but it was sort of on the back burner in my mind. When I read they were retiring production I knew it was time to grab one. My only regret with this purchase is not having done it sooner. An engineering marvel when it was launched, it's features still hold up in this day and age. The de-cocker, the location of the mag release, the loaded chamber indicator, all incredible features. The adjustable grip pads are also a very welcomed feature as it now feels almost custom tailored to my hand. The challenge coin included is also a great memento of a long history of reliability. This should be your next purchase I'd you have yet to own a p99.

My first Walther and first buy from buds. I've always wanted a P99. Wow what a handgun. Fits great in the hand, and the trigger feels nice. Like the decocking feature. I was hesitant to buy an older design Walther as a carry gun, but it's still one of the best pistols of all time! The gun comes with a nice case, extra mag, and a cool commemerative coin. The shipping was fast. If it's good enough for 007 it's good enough for me!

I bought this cause its the final edition, I always wanted a walther but never pulled the trigger to get one. I saw this and said what the heck, I don't regret my decision. it shoots great, grip feels good in my hand and it lite.

I remember when the P99 first came out I wanted one; never got around to getting it, until now. The trigger in single action is crisp and the de-cocker feature is just a cool idea. The case this came in is crazy nice. The ergonomics are great and honestly, it's just a really cool looking, well designed hand gun - even though it came out in the late 90's, it's still ahead of it's time and is a classic.

As a lefty, I'm a huge fan of the paddle mag release. Fits great in my large hands. Found it a little humorous that it was in a box, in a box, but very nice presentation. Appreciated the challenge coin as well. My 4th Walther. You could say I'm a fan.

I am a big fan of James Bond and the big reason of getting this one was its appearance in the movies. It is a lot easier to justify a P99 than a DB5 to the wife. Shipping was super quick with this one and you know you got a quality firearm when the guys at my local FFL say “damn, this is really nice” Can’t wait to shoot this at my personal range.

I have several P99's, wanted this final edition . If you don't know , the P99 is a unique double action striker fired pistol, very cool . I have not fired this one yet, but P99's shoot well and are very accurate. Buy one and thank me later!

Just got my P99AS FE yesterday. VERY well-packaged and FAST delivery. Bud's is always my first source for buying firearms. The gun itself was coated with lube to protect it from rust. Make sure you clean that stuff off and lube it yourself. I recommend CLP Break Free. Not sure how many Final Editions they are going to make, but I have 2 as well as a standard edition I bought a while back. They are excellent, reliable handguns and are worth every penny you pay. And Bud's had the best prices I have seen. Highly recommended!

What an amazing piece, slim design, smooth feel, and beautiful looks. Be warned, very little to no safety feature, use strong caution when handling. The decocker puts the trigger into DA making for a long trigger pull. Otherwise, always make sure the firearm is unloaded and chamber cleared. With 200 rounds already put thru, no jam, very good accuracy, very reliable. Wether a collector piece, defense or conceal carry, I highly recommend!

The Walther P99 A/S Final Edition is a beautiful version of this iconic firearm. It has proved to be 100% reliable, an accurate shooter, and is easy to field strip. The ergonomics make this pistol my favorite 9mm to shoot. The deluxe packaging adds to the appeal.

The gun is very handsome and has great ergonomics. Pleasant to shoot. Giving 4 stars for failure to cycle my Norma 65gr frangible rounds, which I have no issues with in all my other handguns, as well as FTFs on 130gr Syntech, again no issues on other firearms. Buds delivered as always, never any problems there.

I purchased this years ago in .40CAL and loved it then and love it even more now. I still can’t, for the life of me, understand why pistol manufacturers don’t embrace a striker fired weapon with a decocker. Walther showed them how to do it two decades ago, so they’re either slow learners or that dumb to not get this. To go from a single action trigger to a double action requires less than an inch of movement from the slide to reset the striker. This can be done very quietly and quickly under duress. It fits my hand better than any pistol I have ever owned or held, easy to flip the thumb up to decock the pistol or mag release which can also be easily hit from the left or right side of the trigger guard with the same hand. The only thing I would’ve changed would be the ability to add an optic. It is that close to being the perfect pistol IMO. If I had to give it a ding, the last few rounds in the magazine are tough to get in and there is a pointed piece of the magazine you hit with your thumb as you slide the round in. I’ll be taking that off with a Dremel tool.

I would say the best pistol ever made by Walter. The 99 Special Edition.

Despite being over two decades old, the P99 still feels exceptionally modern. Great ergonomics and grip, mechanical safety features, and accuracy. Recoil is very soft and reliability is excellent. All of the metal parts are built to close tolerances and the action is very smooth. This is a great deal at Buds to get the gun, a hard case, two magazines, and some other interesting accessories like a speed loader and challenge coin. Trigger might be heavy/long for some but this is predominantly a double action handgun with a de-cocker and loaded chamber indicator. Great for shooters who want accuracy AND safety without a hair trigger. As a lefty, the ambidextrous mag release is much appreciated.

Great collectible and fun shooter -- not sure how LIMITED it will be but Bud's had it at a reasonable price and it shipped quick! Beautiful gun and case.... shoots well too
