Super fun to shoot. Take down doesn't require any special tool. Recoil is light as you would expect from a 380. Comes with 2 9 round mags. Also the PD 380 can use PK 380 8 round magazine. According to Walther customer service any weapon light that fits a PK 380 will also fit a PD 380. Note this is important because numerous vendors don't have a search for a PD 380 weapons light but have one for a PK 380.

I love my gun. Its like the perfect size for me. Not too light and not too heavy and they power from the gun when I shoot it. I love it!!!!

Great lil EDC when you are wearing shorts or slim clothing. The action is smooth and DA/SA with safety/decocker makes it very safe to carry. Great texture and looks way more sexy than any other .380 in the market. if only .380 ammo wasn't that expensive.... Still, I use it daily and would recommend.

Haven't fired as yet however, I compared to it's predecessor, the pk380. A little bit thicker. Harder to rack the slide. Very hard double action trigger pull. Extremely difficult to pull down the new "tool less" take down lever. The new captured slide rod is made of plastic. I just hope it shoots as reliably as the pk380.

Absolutely love this firearm. Comfortable in the hand for larger hands and smaller hands. Easy to chamber a round, low recoil and as usual Walther delivers a great product.

I wanted a DA/SA hammer fired gun in .380. This fit the bill. The positive: The grip is the best I've handled in 40 years of shooting. It just locks into my hand. Also, the mags are easy to load, and the flipper style mag release is great. Oddly, it fits perfectly and locks into my Glock "sport" holster. (I wonder if this was deliberate?) Also, it takes Glock sights. The single action pull is great. Negatives? It is ammo sensitive. Winchester fmj gives light strikes. (Goes bang on second trigger pull.) The RSA won't handle plus+ ammo. The gun is, however, 100% with my CCW ammo, Federal Punch. Slide is easy to manipulate as is takedown and re-assembly. I think it's a good gun But no, not Glock level reliability.

I bought a Beretta Cheetah 80x brand new and am having problems with a dead trigger every magazine or so. So I have to send it back to the factory. I bought the Walther PD380 out of annoyance at my cheetah and Beretta in general. The PD380 is a fine, not too small, da/sa pistol that shoots well and is comparable to the 80x. I've fired 150 rounds with no problems or malfunctions. It's light and easy to rack and is my new carry/ home defense weapon. I couldn't be happier and it's very affordable. Thank you Walther for a excellent firearm and thank you Bud's for a excellent shopping experience!

This was the first pistol I ever bought online and Buds made it so simple that I will never buy a pistol in store again, and they had it at the lowest price I found! Now onto the PD380, this is my second Walther and let me tell you they don’t disappoint. I purchased this for my Fiance to shoot at the range when she comes with me and she loves it. Barely any recoil, very accurate and a great trigger, there is no slide release on this gun no biggie but would be nice if they put one on. Still a great 380 at a great price and fun to shoot!

Buds shipped promptly to my FFL and have to say this is a sweet shooter with minimal recoil and easy to load magazines. Buds always does a great job!!

When I picked this gun up for the first time it felt like it was part of my hand. When I shot it for the first time, I was impressed with the light recoil. It was a pleasure to shoot. The weight and balance of the gun makes the shooting experience a pleasure. I found the trigger to be very nice in both single and double action. I was pleased because I saw reviews that went both ways. I think the few that complained about the trigger being to heavy probably didn't have there Wheaties that day. Now for the flip side. There is no slide lock. Walther was probably trying to maintain a slim profile for carry, but I think this was a mistake. At the range you need to keep an empty mag handy in order to lock the slide back and then drop the mag for cease fire. You can also use a flag. A big deal? No, but I think a slide lock would improve this gun. Now for the safety. Even though it is ambi ( I am left handed ), it is small and it's placement on the slide means you give up control of the gun to use it. If you want to carry, this can make things difficult unless opt to leave the safety off. The last issue is the ambi mag release. On my Walther WMP there are large flippers and ambiance buttons. Love it. The PD380 has 2 small flippers. No buttons. In 2 range sessions I adapted to this, but if you have large hands, it might prove annoying. I think this gun would be more user friendly without the flippers. Just ambi buttons. I realize there may be an issue with the grip. Considering all of this, would I give up the gun? No. It's just too enjoyable to shoot. Will I carry it? The jury is still out. If Walther were to make some changes, I think this would be one of the best compact 380ACPs out there.

Great handling gun. My wife wanted something that was comfortable to shoot. And the mag spring is light enough that I don't need a loader. Walther's are expensive ( not so bad at Bud's ), but they are worth it. As for Bud's, I've bought 2 semi's from them. Paperwork was quick, friendly, accurate. Same for the shipping. NICS took longer, but then that's gov'mnt. After I've shot and carried it for awhile, I'll see if I can update this review.
