Finally! A .380 pocket pistol that is reliable and recoil isn't excessive. I've owned a Ruger LCP (feed/ejection issues) an LCPII (same issues but not quite as bad), LCP Max (2 of them) these are better. But this Bodyguard version 2 is two steps above them all. It shoots with less recoil, and it reliably ate up all the ammo I put through it on the first day at the range. I did take apart and lube it before I took it out to the range. I shot regular Blazer ammo, Underwood 68 grain extreme defender (my carry ammo) and some hybrid 55 grain defensive ammo that none of the Ruger's would shoot reliably and this gun didn't flinch. THIS will be my carry gun going forward.

These guys really hit the mark on ergonomics, but figure in $40 more for a Galloway Precision recoil spring assembly. Mine wasn't reliable until I replaced the factory spring. An email to customer service about it weeks ago still hasn't been answered. I just ordered a spring and kept on moving.

This is an excellent small pistol. The magazines are extremely difficult to load. Hopefully it gets easier with time. Otherwise no complaints I am very pleased

I am so glad Smith & Wesson come out with another Bodyguard. This 380 is a great carry. The grip has great texture, and it's true right out of the box. This is a must have regardless if you carry it or not. Highly recommend.

Purchased for my wife who had a hard time racking the slide on my 9mm. She does much better with the bodyguard and the reduced recoil as well.

Smith and Wesson nailed it with this one! the firearm have virtually no recoil, flat shooting great EDC for a recoil sensitive person or just someone that wants a small effective shootable firearm

My husband bought this gun for me and I love it. It fits in my pocket comfortable and very discrete. I haven't gone to the shooting range to try it out, but I will this week and give an update.

Simply the best .380 ACP micro pistol. Wonderful ergonomics. Terrific trigger. 12+1 capacity in what can be used as a pocket pistol is amazing. High grip and low bore axis results in a very soft shooting micro pistol. I carry mine in golf shorts and t-shirt. Holster availability is good. Image shows rapid fire result at 15 yards, off hand.

I got the text from my FFL who only is about a mile from me, that my Bodyguard 2.0 was in. I went over to pick it up and was Extremely impressed. Smith and Wesson have brought the 380acp back to a Very Nice Micro Pistol. I put it on top of my Wallet for a size Comparison for people who haven't seen or held one in Person. It might look like a Micro Pistol, but when you pick it up and look down the Very Nice Sights. It actually feels like a Sub Compact from it's Ergonomics. The Attention to Detail and the New Trigger is Outstanding. This Pistol loaded with the Underwood Extreme Defender 68gr have put 380acp back as a formidable Carry Option. I also am a Fan of the Federal Hst 99gr Hydra Shok Deep Penatration. I took it home and broke it down for a nice cleaning and lube job. I grabbed my Storage Container for 380acp Ammo and to the range. I first ran 2 boxes of Magtech FMJ at 7-10 and 25yds. Mine was hitting right on Point of Aim. At 25yds I was getting fist size groups. I ran a box of the Underwood Extreme Defender Platinum 68gr and Federal Hst 99gr. Both were flawless. So far I am impressed. I want to get 500rds before putting it in my Carry Rotation. But for now don't hesitate about getting it. This Pistol has done for 380acp what the Sig P365 did for 9mm. Safe Shooting

Probably one of the nicest, ergonomic, pleasant shooting 380's I've purchased. Reasonably priced through Buds guns. The S&W Bodyguard 2.0 is one to own.

Small and light. No recoil. Great for pocket carry. Ran through about 150 rounds of three brands and types of ammo, including hollow points, to evaluate function after cleaning. No failures whatsoever and shot to point of aim with everything tried (90-100 grain bullets). Very reassuring reliability out of the box. As others have mentioned, loading the mags is tough, and only 11 would go in the 12 rounder. But that is expected wit new mags that need to have strong springs to function reliably in a small package. This one is a keeper.

I had never been a big fan of the .380 cartridge but when I saw this one with similar features to my Shields and the small size, I decided I needed one. Put it in a Vedder holster and it easily fits in the front pocket of all my pants and shorts. Being handy and concealable is nice, its the reliability that makes or breaks a gun being used for carry. I cleaned the gun when i got it and lubed where needed and went to the range. I shot assorted handloads and put 200 through the first time without any issues. I have made a few other trips and now i have put 1,200 assorted handloads though it with on the initial cleaning with zero problems.. I'm curious how many more I can shot before having an issue and needing to clean it. This wont be my EDC as I still like other calibers better, but a nice option to have.

If you had any micro .380 in mind for example the Lcp max which I would immediately upon just holding this Bodyguard 2.0 it is superior in every aspect, grip angle, lower bore axis, size, weight, feel and grip texture in the hand and most amazing new flat face trigger.. Might be my favorite pistol I have at the moment and that’s saying something !! Only thing I would change are rear sight are a little wide notched for shooting over 15 yards but let’s be honest this isn’t a completion shooter 10 yard and in shot 1 inch groups with I’d say not slow but deliberate timing and personal defense distance rapid pace at 10 yards all within a 4 inch group. Amazing!!

It's hard to find a better compact pistol.

Added this to my EDC rotation and it’s hard to see me switching back to my Sig 365 anytime soon. It’s such a lightweight, small package but shoots/handles like a bigger pistol. My was shooting left but I adjusted my sights with no issues. I do miss having a light on my CCW but I’m sure the market is on that task. I can highly recommend this lil pistol!

Grabbed this little pistol from my FFL today and took it to my local range. Fed it 200 rounds of FMJ and then a few obligatory rounds of hollow points to check function. Ran flawlessly right out of the box without cleaning. All the reviewers are correct, that 12 round mag is more like 10. I could get an 11th in there but 12 was not happening. Ideally carried with 10 until the springs break in. Carries perfectly in a pocket holster with minimal printing. Looks more like a phone than a pistol! This is my first firearm purchase from Buds and it won't be my last!

I absolutely love this gun i was looking for a new every day carry and I'm not disappointed for a small gun it fits perfectly in my hands..this is my 4th purchase though buds and as always a wonderful experience

Very small but fits well in the hand. I'm amazed what S&W have done here. This probably eill be in the running for pistol of the year. Everything is pretty tight at first. Slide mags and controls but it will loosen in up after a couple hundred rounds.
