Love the gun. No hiccups

Taurus has advanced light years ahead in their quality of manufactured products. I have owned them, as well as many other brands, over the past twenty five years. I have heard that the GX2 is a great pistol and decided to have Buds send me one. So I purchased it and had it sent to my FFL. They commented on the pistol in a very favorable way and said that they are hearing great things about Taurus.

Superb, very good quality, good price and super functional, I would buy it again.

Amazing concealed carry choice i love it

I have many guns but this is my first Taurus. The fit and finish is comparable to other leading commercial manufacturers. The GX2 is the latest iteration in a long line of systematic improvements. It has the look and feel of a 5th generation firearm with all of the details fully nailed. I particularly like the perfect grip texture in all of the right places and the deep scallop for the web of my hand beneath the slide that reduces muzzle flip. The GX2 has a solid feel. Straight out of the box, I test fired it at Bud's indoor range. 50 rounds of CCI Blazer brass FMJ and 10 rounds of Federal Lawman 124 grain hollow points fed perfectly. The primer strikes were deep and centered with no brass deformation (neck dings, guppy belly, etc.). Ejection was solid, mostly right with the FMJ and more over my head with the +P JHP. I'm not accurate with the GX2. I don't care for the hard wall at the end of the trigger pull before the final trigger break but this is a carry pistol with no external safety so it's not going to have a match trigger. On the rare occasion that I did my part, the GX2 seemed accurate but I'm going to need much more practice to achieve better accuracy, as demonstrated by dry fire practice after installing the Olight Mini with 600 lumen light and green laser as shown in the photo that I uploaded. The take up trigger pull was not a problem but pressing hard enough to actuate the trigger at the hard wall at the end induced some shaking that robs accuracy. Fortunately, I could tell that the trigger was improving a bit as it wore in with a few minutes of dry fire practice. I have very large hands and found the GX2 to be a comfortable pistol with a grip that should enhance accuracy. My wife has very small hands and also thought the GX2 was comfortable. I've been back pocket carrying a Kahr PM9 for almost 20 years, that I also bought at Bud's. The GX2 has twice the capacity (13+1 instead of 6+1) and is better in several ways, but 20 years of improving firearms technology will do that. The GX2 is also almost a third the price... and much less than a third if inflation is considered. The GX2 is the largest and highest capacity pistol that I can back pocket carry, and that was my justification for getting it. I have large pockets and it barely fits so your mileage may vary.

This is my second gx2 I love Taurus handguns they shoot well and reasonably priced. I put 150 rounds through this one at the range when I bought it with no malfunctions and it was accurate. I wish they would make these in a toro version so you can add a red dot. This is my new carry gun.

I bought my GX2 when they first came out. It does shoot a bit to the left as I’ve seen the issue others were having. Not bad though so not something to sway anyone from buying it. I did have the magazine drop out while shooting it. I changed my grip a bit and tried to be more cognizant of my grip as I shot and didn’t have it happen again. The magazine release is really easy to hit for me. Maybe some more shooting and I’ll get used to that. Again nothing to sway anyone from buying one. I do like the grip better than the GX4.
