i love this pistol. always wanted on of these and eventually came around to getting it. took it to the range to shoot, and it shot flawlessly, no misfeeds or misfires at all. the only thing i am trying to decide on is the rail on top which is solid and useful, is that i like iron sights on a pistol and this rail doesn't totally obscure the sights, it seems to be in the way a little. this has to be one of the best .22 pistols out there, and Ruger always has quality stuff.

Great improvements over the Mark III 22/45. MUCH easier to disassemble / reassemble. Trigger breaks between 4.5 and 5 pounds using Wheeler manual trigger pull gauge. Easy to mount optics with the included picatinny rail. Just wish the rail had came in black to match the pistol, vice silver. I thought I'd get used to it, but decided to just go ahead and order the black rail from Ruger, so that's on its way now. Replacement grips are available at several sources online. I'm still putting rounds though it to see what it likes (regular without, and subsonic with a Q El Camino Suppressor). Leaning towards a few from Eley and CCI, but still have quite a bit to test.

Let's face it cant go wrong with this for a plinking pistol guess this is why this is the 3rd one ive purchased

Very accurate, well-designed pistol. Cycles flawlessly with a wide variety of ammo used. Perfect suppressor host. I am extremely pleased with this pistol, and as always, Buds.

I absolutely love this gun! Very fun to shoot. But, I must say it’s not stock. I have added the Volquartsen accurizing kit with trigger, TANDEMKROSS Hive grip, gas’s pedal, extended mag release, thumb safety, Halo charging handle, and comp. It’s a great shooing gun! Yes, that’s quite a few upgrades, but this version of the 22/45 was perfect for my build. You won’t regret getting this one!

Unfortunately my example of this gun was extremely unreliable right out of the box. After picking the firearm up from my FFL, I went straight to the range where the very first shot was a malfunction. Needless to say, I was concerned and the next 3 range session and 300 rounds were plagued with malfunctions. I was averaging about 1 malfunction per magazine or, in other words, a malfunction 10% of the time which is egregious. The malfunctions were either light primer strike, no primer strike, or failure to go into battery. Issues occurred with Remington, Aguila and CCI ammo. I cleaned the gun after the first range session, and after the second range session. After the 3rd range session which was again a practice in malfunction clearing, I gave up and called Ruger support to RMA the gun. I am now without the gun, it may be perfect when i get it back, but it's never fun to have to RMA a brand new gun. Out of all the .22 pistols I've shot, I've never had one so unreliable. My TX22 fired thousands of rounds with rarely ever a malfunction.

Such a great trainer. Very accurate. Get the trigger upgrade and it'll be a dream 22. Easy to load. You have your tabs on the side of the mag to pull down as you load. Nice size mag release. They drop free. Little charging handle in the rear is easy to pull. Holds open on the last shot. Front sight post might need a little fluorescent paint. Hard to see in low light conditions. The Handgun is packed in a plastic case with molded insert and two mags. Instructions and cable lock and keys. Gun is in a plastic bag. Quality thread protector. Durable firearm. Buds skipped fast. As they do MOST times.

Rugers have always been top notch guns. My son still has his 10/22 i bought him when he was 8. He's 54 an still shoots it. Other than cleaning we have never done anything to it.

Already modified this one and cant wait to shoot it same as always order process was great and on time
