Economical way into a good quailty 1911.

I have wanted another 1911 and this one is great. For the price you can’t beat it. It feels great and has a very smooth action.

Rock Island armory has done a great job of producing a fine 1911 replica. Butte gun shop shipped it very quickly and I ordered it and a week later. It was at the FFL dealer that I use here in California for any shipments coming from out of state. This gun is just great shoots well and shoots where I aim that’s probably the most important part of it is. That’s very accurate. I’m so happy with this pistol and I enjoy shooting a firearm that is very accurate so happy with this gun. If you’re considering buying one of these, don’t look at the price the price was very reasonable almost to the point where you think if it’s this cheap, it can’t be very good. Nothing could be further from the truth. It’s a great gun you would be happy with your purchase. At least that’s my opinion. Thanks for reading.

Great beautiful gun, very powerful, RIA has been my go to , low prices and great quality. I changed the wooden grip to a white pearl looking one and it looks like a whole different gun.

First, I want to thank Bud’s for making everything so easy and as inexpensive as it can be! I waited till I took out my new Rock Island to the range before I posted a review. Image of target is the first 6 rounds at 25 yards standing. I had my bifocals on sideways, Trust me, this Pistol is ACCURATE. I ended up running over 120 rounds of Winchester thru this Bad Boy. TIGHT, ACCURATE, FLAWLESS with every round. Not one hiccup. I just became a 1911 Addict! I want to note, I swapped out the light wood grips that came with it for these Old-Fashioned Walnut Grips. I don’t know what the trigger weight is, but there is NO play, fairly smooth, and it’s as CRISP as a December Morning. I’m going to say it feels like it’s between 4 and 6 pounds. This Pistol is SOLID, take down was easy and straightforward, cleaning was fun, and it all went back together without any hiccups. I am going to swap out the slide release for an extended one, that’s my preference, there is nothing wrong with the one that came with it. I’d give this rascal SIX stars if I could. The finish is even, solid, well build, it feels wonderful at the range. Another preference on my part, I’m getting some different magazines, I don’t like the extension at the bottom of the one that came with it. Also, it came in a cardboard box and included a soft “case,” and some instructions. For what I paid, I’ll get my own case, the Pistol Is MAGNIFICENT!!! Now, to order another Rock Island 1911 …..

I got a nicer more ribbed handle. With that I love it. The default grip is a bit smooth. Love how it shoots, and I have it in a display case in my office.

Great quality pistol. I shot it today for the first time. No feeding issues. Recoil is manageble due to the weight of the steel frame. Trigger pull is good, but the trigger itself is a little uncomfortable. No problems with slide bite.

Just finished filing my (DROS ) Dealer record of sale for state of CA & my ATF 4473 I am very excited about this out to the range I never shot a 1911 before I own 2 40 & 2 9mm from S&W After reading the reviews from others & looking at my pocketbook I figure it one that I can afford The price is right locally even used Rock Island are selling for 500++ or higher saw 1 dealer asking $600 + for the same model. So since I am a dealer I thought I save some time & money :) .
