If you want to carry a 45, this is a great option. Easy to carry, decent capacity, nice shooter with minimal recoil, and a good trigger. What’s not to like?

I am not a fanboy of any 1 company. I like Springfield's products. I like Ruger as well. There are ups and downs to be had a any purchase. I've bought so many guns from here I lost track a long time ago.
Now for the review-----
When shooting a .45 caliber pistol, weight is your friend. This Pistol weighs more than the Austrian cousin (G30) and runs like a champ. This might not be the best gun for carry but if you want reliable and fun Semi-Auto in well...my fav Caliber .45 acp. You will be very satisfied. Pew Pew and Carry on.

Excellent firearm! My very first handgun, and a 45acp at that, and I absolutely love it! Before buying this gun, I heard nothing but great things about it. I will definitely keep buying Springfield products, they are my go to now.

I was looking for a high capacity 45 and came upon the xdm in many forums. I LOVE this pistol. Buds did great shipping it to me quickly. It was my first time using Buds and ordering online and it was smooth. I'll definitely be using Buds again.
It looked great and felt good in my hands. As soon as I got it I went to the range and put 200 rounds through it. No FTF or any issues at all. Very happy with this choice and plan on using it as my EDC.

This firearm is awesome. I've never had a Springfield, but I found this particular gun interesting.

I have two 1911 45's. This is my first striker fired 45. My everyday carry is a Ruger SR9c 9mm. The XDm compact works the same as the Ruger 9mm. You have the option to configure the weapon as a compact EDC. Or change the magazine size with a sleeve spacer and make it a full size handgrip with additional rounds. So you get 9 plus 1 or 13 plus 1. Holding the gun in your hand feels very solid. I have wanted a Springfield Armory weapon ever since I saw and held one. I think their build a good product for a fair price. And, IT'S MADE IN AMERICA!!!!!!

Bought this XDM 45 with a trade in.Buds great to deal with as usual.This XDM is best cc handgun in 45acp.9 plus one and easy to control.My summertime carry gun.Put some talon rubber grips on it and good to go.Highly recommend.

I was so glad that your company had the XDM 3.8" 45 caliber pistol. I wasn't sure about this pistol being discontinued by Springfield, but when I found out that this was true, I went straight to Buds Gun shop web page, found it, ordered it and was shipped straight to the range that I go to. This is a 5 star handgun all day! Easily the best .45 I've ever used!

This was my 5th purchase from Buds and as always it was easy, fast, and the best price I could find. I just finished my first range session with 350+ rounds. Had a mix of a few mid price range ammo and a few mags of hollow points. The gun performed flawlessly. The trigger on this gun is perfect for C.C. It has smooth take-up and great break and reset. The gun has a great balance and feel in the hand. For a 45 the recoil is very mild. Yeah, it is still a 45 but not very jumpy. This weapon is moving into my 2 gun rotation as a CCW. Perfect mid-size for carry and not to heavy. Highly recommend people look into this weapon if you want a CC 45. This gun is being discontinued (I guess mainly because the compact 45 isn't the most popular but I think it is perfect!
