I carried a Shield 1.0 for 9 years. I never had a single jam with that pistol—not one! Then I had cataract surgery and could no longer focus on my front sight. My groups were well centered but much larger than I was used to seeing. I was time to try a carry optic. I chose the Shield-Viridian green dot bundle because of my history with the Shield line, the improved capacity, the better trigger and the dot. I also liked being able to change magazines and change the pistol from a subcompact to a full size in about a second. I don’t care about dot color. Green is fine. I don’t mind removing the dot once a year to change out the battery. I really DID WANT the always-on, shake-awake and auto-brightness features. The dot arrived mounted to the Shield slide and sighted in to the top of the front sight. I made a small adjustment to the zero, then shot a qualification course with a half-size target at double the distance. I easily qualified with 100% hits and a numeric score higher than with the Shield 1.0 I have been shooting for almost a decade. I like this pistol a lot and the bundle is a fantastic value. Very nice little handgun. Replaced my Bodyguard 2.0 as my EDC. Fun to shoot and fits my hand perfectly. Love Smith & Wesson and so far have purchased all of my guns through Buds. They have been awesome.

Bought this about a month ago and have put a couple hundred rounds through it. I can honestly say this is the cheapest, accurate pistol I own. Straight out of the box, I was hitting a 1" group at 25 yards and 3" at 50, and I'm not even that great of a shot. the Viridian optic is super accurate!
