I bought this 1500 Mini and really like it. It is a 6.5 Grendel and it will be used for antelope this year. After using an Inc-pound torque wrench and tightening to factory specs, I noticed a crack in the front bottom metal(plastic). I ordered an aluminum replacement online and the problem was fixed. A Hawke 3-9x40 moa mildot and Talley rings were no added. Great rig!

Overall happy with my purchase and with buds as a supplier. I will say I read other reviews before my purchase and they were certainly correct. The bottom "metal" on this rifle is plastic and doesn't seem to belong on an action of this quality. Im not talking nice polymer like glock either it truly is like toy plastic. Luckily the aftermarket makes a quality replacement but that is more money I didn't plan on spending. Also like most people know of the hogue overmold stocks and the like they are very flexible and will contact your barrel, in fact these are supposed to be free floating and mine is not. Now I need to spend time reworking the stock which I didn't plan on doing. The action and barrel are quality and this rifle does shoot small groups even without the free floating barrel. I am however getting a very heavy bolt lift after firing though I don't see any pressure signs on the case. Hopefully cleaning the chamber and more break in rounds that clears up. If I had to do it over I would probably just buy the barreled action and go from there.

Bought this rifle in July and didn't get much time to shoot it until recently. I agree that the stock is rather utilitarian, but wouldn't call it junk. It is functional and the recoil pad is plush. I bought it rather than the CZ 527 because the reviews I found said the Howa HVB was more accurate. It is definitely a true 1 moa shooter. I have 2 handloads that consistently print 0.55" to 0.65" (5 shot) groups at 100 yards. I have shot it at 400 yards and it works remarkedly well for such a light weight rifle. Also pulls dual duty as a short, easy to carry deer rifle. The two stage trigger is light and crisp. The bolt works smoothly and the quality is good. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and with Bud's service.

Great shooter right out of box. Had zero in 5 shots. Shooting 3/4” groups at 100 right away. Action is smooth from start. Bull barrel very nice doesn’t heat up and the round has punch without a lot of recoil. Looking forward to spending more time with this baby. Thanks Buds for a fast transaction.
