Great price and great pistol

I ordered this primarily because of the size and $50 rebate. I have yet to take it to the range, but there were no issues with shipping, or with my FFL. The pistol fits quite well in my hand, which is obviously important, especially if I'm going to have it as a carry piece. I asked my buddy his opinion before purchase, as he has the compact version. He loves it, and it's his daily carry pistol. Unfortunately, only one magazine came with the pistol from the manufacturer. Oh well, I know what I'll use the rebate for. Good purchase, and Bud's did not refuse to ship to Colorado because the "+1". Other sites (that will not be named) have, even though the magazine limit is "15+1", and this pistol wouldn't be categorized as "unable to ship to Colorado", even after the August law change. I will continue to shop @ Bud's.

As someone with an engineering background who is new to the 9mm world, I approached the Stoeger STR-9 with a "brass tacks" mentality. After putting hundreds of rounds through it at the range, I can safely say this is one of the most well-crafted machines for the price point. The Build Quality: The pedigree is obvious. Knowing Stoeger is under the Beretta/Benelli umbrella gave me confidence, but the hands-on experience confirmed it. The slide-to-frame fit is tight, and the nitride finish is resilient. It feels like a much more expensive Italian-engineered tool. Ergonomics & Recoil: I have been on a rigorous 6-day-a-week bodybuilding program, and while I have put on 10 lbs of muscle recently, my tendons are still catching up to the "isometric stress" of shooting. The STR-9 has a fantastic grip angle and aggressive stippling that allows for a firm "7 out of 10" grip without having to "white-knuckle" the gun. The low bore axis directs the recoil straight back into the arm rather than flipping the muzzle, making it much more comfortable and controllable than other sub-compacts I’ve tried (like the Taurus G3C). Performance: Out of the box, the accuracy is exceptional. Even with my "beginner" status and left-eye dominance, I was able to find my natural point of aim quickly. The three-dot sights are clear, and the trigger break is predictable. I’ve experienced zero malfunctions across multiple brands of 115gr and 124gr 9mm Luger/Parabellum. Safety & Maintenance: The takedown is straightforward (though the tabs are crisp and "stiff" initially—an overhead palm grip works best). It’s a very safe, reliable platform that has allowed me to focus on mastering the fundamentals of marksmanship without worrying about the hardware. Final Verdict: If you want a "no-nonsense" primary sidearm that punches way above its weight class, the STR-9 is it. It’s a "shooter's gun"—pure functionality and excellent engineering. I’m keeping mine stock to master the "pure form" of the technology. Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced shooters alike.

Great gun. Shoots like a glock, feels great in my hand. Haven't had any issues with backup while shooting. Clean shots every time.

Perfect for carry fits most people needs fires good comfortable easy trigger pull and not much recoil would highly recommend

This inexpensive gun shoots and feels good. It is so much like a Glock it is scary. If you are looking to spend the bigger money for the Glock, look here first. I was not disappointed at all with the gun. I like it.

this firearm has earned its way to be my everyday carry pistol… unsure of how many rounds she spit down range, but she has failed me yet. She will eat brass and metal rounds and spit them out. This gun is well made and light weight for a full-size gun. Yes she is a Glock look alike but without the Glock price. Go ahead and get you one or two like I have.

I have been a Buds customer for many years. Alway excellent service. The stougers are amazing. Got 3. 2 in 4" 1 in 3.5. There are Glock copies but better. Grip trigger etc. At $300 each best deal. Shot over 500 rds most reloads Never a jam. Thank you

As always Buds experience was excellent from purchase to delivery to FFL. Not a bad budget pistol, it isn't the most flashy or comparable to a high end race gun. However for the price the trigger is acceptable, the fit and finish are good, and reasonably reliable. 1000 rounds in I had 1 FTE and I'm still not sure if it was a light load (was shooting reloads) or the gun. So I'm overall very pleased with the quality delivered at this price point.

I am a big fan of Turkish firearms, the cost, quality and value are the main factors. Yes it is a Glock 19 clone but the patent rights ran out and Stoeger used the well made Glock as a base line for a pistol and made improvements from there to produce the STR 9. I was impressed enough with the Stoeger STR 9 that I also purchased the compact 9c version.

Received this hand gun in good condition and was surprised to see that it came with night sight which was a plus took to range and ran about 300 rounds through it with no issues very accurate right out of the box for price point great lil hand gun would recommend to anyone on a budget looking to purchase a hand gun

So far I am very pleased with this gun ! I have about 200 rounds down range with no problems. It seems to be a very well made gun . Hard to believe it not more expensive. Maybe getting the full size before long . Great service from Buds as always .

You will get the most gun for your money with this pistol! I really enjoyed shooting this gun! The medium back strap is just a hair big for my taste so I ordered the small back strap because I love this pistol that much and it’s definitely a keeper. It has a great crisp trigger with a short reset and has had no malfunctions (300 rounds) so far. Definitely worth the $299!!
