This revolver is everything good the you tube reviews call it. VG DA trigger and excellent SA trigger. Built to handle full power loads. Well balanced in the hand. Very accurate and the ergonomics are terrific. Fits my medium sized hands perfectly and is a real pleasure to shoot. First range trip I put a full box of magnum loads thru it and my hands were still quite comfortable. I am old and arthritic, so this was a happy surprise for me. The factory rubber grip absorbs recoil very well but is still firm enough to allow to steady up your site picture well. Buds did a great job shipping it to my dealer and it arrived in perfect condition. Very pleased with this purchase!

This is my favorite of my handguns to shoot. This thing is a Tank! It will handle the hottest ammo available and so can I with the weight and balance of this gun along with the grip. The breakdown of the GP 100 is easy and well described in the manual (although the hammer shims on the Match Champion are a bit tricky) The double action trigger is predictable and can be staged so you can recheck your sight picture before continuing the pull through the break. It is also easily adjusted with springs that are available if you so chose. If you like wheel guns this is one to have in your collection and Bud's is the place to buy!

I was looking for a revolver to replace a very nice blued, 4" barrel .357 Magnum revolver that became more valuable as a collector than a shooter. I'm not a collector and wanted a replacement I could shoot without reservation. I dry fired a similar .357 Magnum Ruger GP100 at my LGS as I was researching manufacturers and was impressed with the DA trigger. The model 1786 had everything I wanted in a replacement: improved DA trigger, sights and grip. Also a stainless steel finish and easier disassembly. I've taken it to the range and ergonomics and accuracy are everything I was looking for right out of the box. Build quality and finish is flawless. It is a target and home defense gun like its predecessor and my first Ruger. I diligently maintain my firearms so if Ruger did its job, I expect years of reliable use.
