Fired 45-70 250 and 410gr ammo through it the day it arrived. A great shooter! Tapped and scope mount included. Planning to add a scope and do some hunting with it.

I purchased this gun from Bud's in 2015 for $956.00. My how time's have changed gun prices... As with all my purchases of guns from Bud's this purchase was flawless on Bud's part. The gun itself is a lot of fun to shoot, I mounted a scope on it and have taken several deer with it. I got it for handgun hunting big game and it has worked great so far for that. It is extremely accurate with everything I have cast up and reloaded for it. When I invite friends over to shoot this one is always a favorite because I mean who doesn't want to shoot a 45-70 handgun? The recoil is nothing worse than a hot 45 Colt but the flame and the boom is always a ton of fun, especially for friends who don't get to shoot a lot at home. They get to go home and tell everybody they shot a 45-70 in a revolver on a ranch in Montana and everybody wins.

What a mammoth. Shot well right out of the box. Lock up is tight, trigger is smooth and light. Recommend sticking to cowboy loads, the leverevolution Is a little hard on the hands. Would buy another but 1 is enough for me.

Good companion pistol to match finish and caliber of companion rifle, Marlin 1895 Trapper in 45-70 Government.
Revolver is fun to shoot as well as very accurate and new grip design for standard model is a plus. Also included
with revolver from the factory is a Weaver scope mount base and the standard key-lock cable. No one-piece poly
cleaning rod, test-fire target, or expended shell casing(s) from factory test-fire are included.
My only gripes are that night-sights are not standard nor even an option, but night-sights are available on many Kahr
2019 production handguns and are a supreme asset in limited light environments. My second gripe is that no carry
case is included from the manufacturer so yep this expensive handgun comes in a standard cardboard box with a foam
cut-out for both 7.5-inch and 10-inch barrel versions. In many states, firearms have to be transported "unloaded" in a
lockable and secure container but the Kahr Firearm Group does not offer a case option either. The Kahr Firearms Group
is the parent company of Magnum Research which is the manufacturing division of the BFR (Biggest Finest Revolver) line
of handguns and does not offer too many accessories for the BFR including an extra cylinder. Standard manufacturer's
warranty is 12-month from date of purchase.
I am happy that my purchase of the BFR45-707 came from Bud's Gun Shop and at a fair price since the folks at
Grab-A-Gun had problems filling my order. And, with the savings from Bud's Gun Shop I can now search for a lockable
and secure container for this nice looking and functional handgun to be carried inside-of and transported with both to and
from the range since Kahr Firearm Group is clueless in this regard.

This pistol is perfect right out of the box. First 5 rounds were all "kill shots" with 1 bullseye at 25 yards. Recoil wasn't as bad as I expected. Wanted a pistol to match my rifle so I needed to carry only one caliber ammo. Well, thats not going to happen! After a few test shots, I decided that the pistol round would be 300 or 325 grain and the rifle 405 or 430 grain. This round in these weights will be more than adequate for ANY animal in North America. I hunt in Missouri and this is a bit of overkill for white tail deer, but we run across farrow hogs a lot and this can drop a 600 lb pig with 1 shot in close quarters and brush. This gun packs a big hit and and has a big recoil be prepared!

Ok, nice GUN, BIG GUN fires well! The other reviews that state not as snappy as a 44 Mag are right, it has a bigger kick but manageable. I need to get use to the weight it is very heavy. Since I'm going to Alaska in March, I wanted something that I could carry with me and take down anything I might encounter; I think this will do the trick. However, I would like to cut it down to 6" and port the barrel. Thanks Buds

It is a very nice revolver, everything is smooth and tight. It shoots great, 2 1/4 inch groups at 25 yards right out of the box. The recoil is surprisingly mild as stated on Magnum research's website, it is equal to a 44 magnum recoil but not as "snappy", easy to shoot one handed. I put a red dot on it but have decided it is much better balanced with just the iron sights Thanks for a great price on it!
