Great firearm for the money. I've ran about 80 rounds through this PCC. No issues with feeding or ejecting. Only complaints is that the magazine isn't a double stack. Also, the picatinny rails are plastic and kind of flimsy. Again, for the money, you can't go wrong.

From all the reviews, I decided to purchase this Hi-Point carbine. Took it to the range and didn't have to sight it in...it was right on target. I'm very Pleased with it.

Foward heavy, heavy, constant failure to feed no matter what ammo I put into it. Traded it in for something reliable.

I purchased the Hi-point 995 out of curiosity. I am very happy that I did. It is accurate, reliable, and simply fun to shoot. I recommend the Hi,-point 995 highly.

Purchased in a 9mm flavor with the intention of removing the factory stock and dropping into a High Tower bullpup stock. Once received from my FFL I took it out on the weekend to my local outdoor range. I was impressed by the accuracy and flawless function all the way out to 100 yards. I was embarrassed by the look of the factory stock and the bulkiness feel,, I'm also spoiled as I'm used to my KelTec sub 2000 which is light and slender; apples and oranges I digress. I purchased as planned the High Tower stock and was easy to install and also installed a red dot. This High point carbine a really fun to shoot. I had a malfunction with one of the magazine and called High point customer service which they quickly sent me a replacement spring and a new magazine for my troubles, amazing customer service by High Point. Buds Guns amazing price and quick serce as usual. I love my bulpup high point / high tower 9mm, the project came out amazing. The only drawback is the capacity of the magazine which holds 10 rounds, wish High Point would stagger to increase capacity.

Just received it today, put 50 rounds through it, 10 with the included magazine and 40 through a Red Ball 20 round mag. Very accurate right out of the box. The trigger is meh, but so much fun to shoot. All in all I like it a lot

So far i have put 100 rounds through the gun. Problem is I still can’t shoot more then 3 rounds without it jamming. The magazine that came with the gun moves around a lot when you chamber rounds which i believe is the issue. Plan to buy one magazine to see if that fixes the issue but so far not happy with the purchase. I installed a little scope and it shoots great if it could only not jam up. Takes all the fun out of using it.

Bud's shipped fast and were really friendly to work with. Once it arrived, I instantly removed the barrel/action and installed it in the wonderful High Tower Armory bullpup stock - the MBS-95. So I never shot it in the original Hi-Point configuration, but I've put several boxes through it at the local range and the rifle has been flawless. For being a cheaper blowback weapon, I'm really impressed and would easily recommend the Hi-Point carbine. Next mod is fed ramp polishing. I also installed the M-Carbo light trigger spring (widely recommended for these) to reduce pull weight. Bud's and Hi-Point came throughon this project build!

I try to buy guns for the caliber ammo I already use in my other guns. Seeing the 9mm carbine at an affordable price intrigued me. I have to say I was very pleased with the gun I received. It took me a few rounds to adjust and get used to the peep sight. Once I had it set I enjoyed putting rounds through it. I shot 200 rounds and did not have any failures. Once I got comfortable I was able to hold good groupings at 25 yds. There is very little recoil. The charging handle knob takes so getting use to as it is tricky to lock the bolt back. But all in all I am glad to have purchased this gun.

I love this Carbine, it is fun to shoot and so far I have shot about 400-500 Brass, Steel and Aluminum rounds through it and only jammed a few times on the Aluminum because I found they had a slight bent to them loading into the mag.

I was skeptical at first because you know, highpoint. Lol but this is a great PCC I have so much fun shooting this, my only “con” I would say about this would be that the magazine is only a 10rd single stack and they have an extended redball mag you can buy that is 20rd but it is like 1.5ft long and is still single stack -_- lol other than that this is a great PCC

Solid gun for under $300. After 100 rounds no issues with operation/jams. Only complaint is the charging handle is poorly designed and should be changed out to an aftermarket handle immediately.

As stated by others who have bought this, it is fun to shoot, accurate and very operator friendly. Granted, not a battle rifle but excellent home defense and fun to plink with. Buds, as always, great service.

I have one of the older 995s, vintage 2005. Hi-point is such a good company to deal with that I decided to buy one of their new 995TSs. The overall manual of arms has not changed. The magazine release, safety, bolt handle, iron sites, and general handling characteristics are the same. Differences include the threaded barrel, last round hold open, stock, and rails. All of the stuff gun writers have alluded to for years. But there are also more subtle differences which include a degree of refinement from Hi Point. The finish is a little better, the trigger is improved. The pistol grip feels just a little more ergonomic. My only complaint is with the butt stock. The older 995, with its solid stock, enabled more consistent shouldering. The new stock just doesn’t and it adds a variable that isn’t needed. I’ll likely look to wrap/loop 550 cord within the springy gap area to attempt to stop the butt stock movement upon shouldering. Overall good firearm, well worth the price. Some folks like to poo-poo PCCs, and there are some important limitations to PCCs. However, PCCs do have some significant positive points too. I appreciate Hi Point’s customer service, an American company producing an American sourced and manufactured firearm for everyday folks. I also appreciate Hi Points for what they are: affordable, serviceable firearms that democratize self-defense capabilities for the common man/woman. Consider them “American Kalashnikovs” without all of the stupid communist/socialist non-sense. Better yet, put Hi Points together with the likes of the British Sten or M3 Grease Gun. Hi Points' have their place. Buy one. Merica!

Have a C9, CF380, and a 1095TS that I plink with and love. This PCC is great. Shockingly accurate for the price. Very little felt recoil. Trigger weighs a little heavy, but having almost no take up makes that irrelevant imo. Added a cheap UTG scope and extended top rail, removed the iron sights, added an angled foregrip and this is always a hit at the range and with friends.

I needed something to solve some problems I was having. With a messed up rotator cuff, my weak side arm won't support much so a two handed hold on a pistol was pretty shaky. And since retina surgery, I'm kinda recoil shy. So, shooting was out until I get my shoulder done. This carbine solves both problems, by tucking my elbow into my chest I can support this short rifle. 9mm recoil is negligible, so I can shoot this as much as I want, or actually as much as I can afford cartridges.
To be honest, the rifle arrived with a problem. Out of the box it didn't want to go bang and it didn't want to eject, after three rounds I quit and went home to investigate. The firing pin was malformed, looked kinda smashed and a little bent right at the end. I called in the morning and, no questions asked, CS sent out a
couple firing pins with springs. I put one in, and in two trips to the range it has worked as advertised. I joked at the range that the thing was broke, because I put a whole box of 9mm federal into one ragged hole, on both trips. The iron sights are excellent resembling a Garand at the rear and an SKS at the front. They were right on from the factory. The length of pull is a little long for me, as most factory rifles are, but the rear peep is close enough and high enough for a good sight picture. I've got 3 factory magazines and they all functioned fine as long as I made sure I yanked the bolt handle all the way back and let go. That's only 100 rounds at 50 ft. (pistol range) but it told me what I need to know. I like it, a lot. I should have bought one sooner, but surplus ammo was cheaper and I had no problem with recoil. Now that it's about the cheapest to shoot, except for .22lr, it makes a lot more sense.
