I have been a user of Hornady Critical Defense since I first saw them on Paul Harrel's YouTube channel. He did a review a few years ago now of all then in production hollow point rounds. From .380 on up and from barrel lengths two inches on out. The only round in the test that always opened up and never over penetrated was this one. And in other similar tests in the years since it continues to perform.

Feeds great through my Ruger Compact 45.

Bought to go with my husband's 1911 for Christmas! I can't wait for him to get everything. He's wanted a 1911 for a long time. I think that these will make great self defense ammunition!

This ammunition was recommended to me by a deputy of the Brevard County Sheriffs department. He said it is probably one of the best personal defense ammos on the market today. I found it to be very reliable and accurate. It performed perfectly in my 1911.
