What a joy to own and use. Beretta style and quality, 100% reliable. Added a set of LOK custom brass grips to make a smooth shooting .40 cal even better for my old hands. Easy to strip and clean too, wiped down with some Clenzoil - man she cycles so nice! So many accessories available, next add on will probably be target sights. Complete transaction with Bud's was excellent from start to finish. Will do again in future.

I love this pistol! Low recoil and a great feel in the hand. I put a flat trigger on it and upgraded doubke action spring.

My "ex" has one of these .40 cal Berettas that I worked on by adding the LTT complete package and the short reach trigger with the DPM Recoil Reduction System. Several years have passed and I have been wanting one of my own since the resultant product I assembled was very nice, very reliable. I purchased several firearms from Buds over the years and have always had the utmost in pleasure in dealing with both their staff and the hassle-free process. I was especially pleased they carried this firearm since it isn't followed by the trendy masses and therefore not many new models are being offered for sale. I received the stock model and took it to the range the next day. Even in it's stock configuration it was still a pleasure to shoot and the rumored recoil was not a factor at all. Great looking Italian made Beretta, fit and finish are both on the money, DA trigger pull is very long and heavy, SA trigger pull is fantastic!

Great gun, Arrived fast as always with Buds. I have wanted this pistol for a while and i took it right outside to shoot. Very accurate and smooth running. Very pleased with this pistol and will be buying more from Buds.. I purchased this gun on the layaway plan that Buds had to offer, Ill tell you that this plan is awesome and never spoke with anyone during the three months it was on layaway. The bretta96 is a really nice pistol. Haven't had time to shoot it yet. Looks like it is a well built gun.

I am happy with my .40cal, it is an accurate shooting weapon, it is a large semi-auto so not ideal for conceal carry, but for home defense it is an excellent choice. I configured mine w/ "G" de-cocking kit from Buds Gun Shop and added tritium night sites.

This gun has been amazing for years. Never, and I mean never jammed. Take down and cleaning are fantastic. Capacity hits just the right sweet spot. It is a classic.

Powerful piece of work. However, I didn't keep it long. Sold it to a friend that just had to have a Beretta. I preferred my Glock 22.

The 96a1 arrived and range tested it 2 days later. Fired 150 rounds through it. Wish it would have been made with factory standard with fiber optic front and rear adjustable sites. Will be getting a Vortex Venom on soon. The function of the pistol was perfect in every way. Nothing better than a full size framed handgun that's steel and aluminum giving better recoil control right from the start. Rapid follow-up shots are very controllable and on target. Would buy another Beretta for sure. Waiting for the import of the new 92x Performance 9mm.

Very happy with quality of this firearm and the service from Buds. This 40 is machined well no slide slop and trigger is good, will get better with more use. Beretta has made quality firearms for a long time.

Hands down, the best semi-auto handgun I have ever owned. In the early 1980's, I really wanted a Beretta 92FS 9mm pistol but, since the military had just started using them, prices were out of my reach. 35 years later, the look, feel and accuracy of the 96A1 is equal to or better than the gun I could never own! Although a bit heavy (it is all metal), I have not found another handgun with better balance, more controlled recoil and better accuracy out of the box than this one. Easy to clean, not one jam or misfire in about 1000 rounds, I now have to compete with my teen daughter who can't wait to inherit this gun. Aside from a few revolvers, I cannot think of a gun that has stood the test of time like the Beretta 92/96 series. If you don't own one, your collection is not complete!
