Got this due to the price and ability to swap frames out. Great value and under appreciated 9mm handgun.

I bought this gun because it's great price point for a Beretta. I am not disappointed at all! This weapon shot flawlessly from the box and has not had any type of malfunction. I expected a "break-in" period as with many other guns, but this gun is ready to go.

Long-time user, and lover, of the 92 and PX4 series of Berettas. Having had to use Glocks on duty, I never really came to "like" them. Plenty good enough gun but the ergo design was/is atrocious. I wanted to try something different and am glad I did. The APX is extremely ergonomic and has, for a striker gun, a decent trigger. Making COM hits out to 50 yards isn't difficult - even at speed. Now that I have a duty choice, I have made the full-sized APX as my primary duty gun.
Holster selections aren't huge but Beretta makes some excellent leather, and synthetic, conceal and duty holsters. Safariland makes an excellent L3 duty holster as well.
Bud's was excellent to work with on this purchase. Online order was easy and in-store pickup was very smooth.

This is a very underrated pistol. Despite how you may feel about it physical appearance, you are getting a lot for your money here. It is typical Beretta quality in a modern polymer framed pistol with 17 1 capacity, a surprisingly good trigger, and decent metal combat sights for quite a bit less than a G17/19 (not that there is anything wrong with those firearms either). If you are on the fence, check one out at your local range - you might be surprised. Beretta finally has a decent catalogue of accessories out now for these as well.

I'm a not an experienced handgun owner, in fact this is my first gun I've purchased and only shot half a dozen pistols in my life. I was able to get out to the range and fire several hundred rounds this past weekend, the gun performed flawlessly and I loved the feel of the gun in my hand. After the range time I cleaned the gun and it was easy to field strip, clean, and reassemble. I look forward to getting out to the range again as soon as I'm able to find more ammo and make it back out again.

Love the gun. I put 2500 rounds through it right out of the box. Not a single malfunction.

I only have about 150 rounds through this gun at the moment. So far it has been 100% reliable. It is well made and caveman simple. Take down and grip panel change is not difficult despite what some say on the Utubes. I have no regrets buying this pistol.

I just received and shot 200+ rounds through my "new-to-me" LE Beretta APX in 9mm. Wow, where has this been. The ergos are amazing, the texture on the grip is the best ever, good balance, accurate, nice steel sights, flat shooting, really like the somewhat flat trigger (reset is good), the slide serrations are very functional, and the APX ate everything I put through it with no issues (Winchester White-box, American Eagle, Federal Aluminum, and Blazer Brass). I've owned Glock. M&P, CZ, and Sig P320's and I'm glad I picked this up because it fits my hand better than the rest. Some complain about the 6lb. trigger, if they read the Beretta information on their website they'll know that this trigger weight was intentional for LE and Military use (I always put a NY+1 trigger spring in my Glocks when I carried them). Others complain about the takedown, it's not that hard, it's easy (bunch of whiners). Some say taking out the FCU is hard, have you ever taken apart a Glock or an M&P all the way, if you have, then this should be no problem (and you don't need to use a hammer to put it back either). I also like the ability to change the back-straps (similar the S&W M&P), again some say it's difficult, so what, it's designed to stay put when you're finished. The interchangeable backstraps are excellent, not like Glock's solution (which are more like a reaction than innovation), or like the Sig P320's solution. I had to buy an extra P320 small grip frame (for $45.00 plus shipping) so the P320 would fit my hand (not cool). The slide is thicker than a Glock, but similar to a Sig P320, although the bore axis on the APX is lower, which is good, I guess. At the end of the day, this is a very good striker-fired choice, and I highly recommend it.

Great gun. Handles nice. Easy to break down. Shoots great with absolutely no problems.

Solid pistol with intuitive design. Controls are where they should be and the trigger is very nice out of the box. Trigger reset is short. Sights come up instinctively. The capacity is great. The only drawback is there are not a lot of holster options to choose from which is not entirely the fault of Beretta. Outside of that it is a fantastic pistol.

Wow do I like this handgun!!!! All the reviews I studied previous to my purchase were spot on.....excellent ergonomic "feel" overall and really like the stippling on the grip. I've put over 200 rounds through it so far, both FMJ and hollow point and it has shot everything without a hiccup. Very controlled recoil in 9mm and very accurate right out of the box......I think the gun looks great too. This is about the fifth handgun I have ordered from Buds and have had nothing but great service from them every time.

Reading all of the reviews leading up to the release of this gun had me pretty excited for this new Beretta. However, I was pretty underwhelmed the first time I shot it. Accuracy was so-so. The trigger was nothing to brag about. Shot low and was regulated for combat type hold. Overall, I wasn't that impressed. Just an average striker pistol.

This is the most natural feeling pistols I have ever had the pleasure to own. Other guns have come and gone in my collection, this one is here to stay! You don't have to take my word for it. Go pick one up. You'll see. This damn thing is phenomenal.

As a long-time Beretta fan, I had high expectations for the APX and am a bit disappointed. I've owned the 92 in 9 and .22LR and think they're top-notch hammer-fired pistol. The APX, being Beretta's first striker handgun, is a good start but needs some tweaks. So I'll break it down by pros and cons: PROS: Excellent grip and feel. I have Talon rubber grips on most of my handguns to improve purchase and the APX grips fit my hand nice (with the medium backstrap). Stippling and design are near-perfect. The trigger measured an acceptable 5 pounds and has a bit of takeup but otherwise is smooth and reset is pretty good. It's about on a par with my Sig P320 and Canik TP9SA but not as good as my Walther PPQ. Accuracy is decent, not spectacular. More practice needed. Fit and Finish are very good. CONS: Had 2 stovepipes right out of the box with the first mag using Blazer 115g. Follow-up loads with Fiocchi 124g ran flawlessly. YMMV. EJECTION: Many of the empties came straight back rather than ejecting to the side. Got hit on right arm, face, head and a few found my shirt pocket. Dispersal pattern was all over the place. FIELD-STRIP; Takedown lever was hard to remove but loosened up after a while. Disassembly is fairly easy but it's not a no-brainer like Glock. I don't care for the decocker button on the slide to field-strip. Didn't work well for me. I'd rather check the chamber to make sure it's empty, then pull the trigger. Generally speaking, I'm going to have to give this pistol more time to evaluate but my initial impressions are that it's worth 3 1/2 stars, which I will round off to four. Plus: As a "qualified professional," I got the model with 3 mags, much appreciated. Also, Bud's was prompt in delivery and answered my questions prior to placing an order.

I have a lot of guns, and this has the best grip of any of them. Once lubed (trigger bar with ballistol), the trigger is excellent. I used to have a Beretta 92, and hated it. The grip was way too wide, and the gun was way too big. This was Beretta's answer, and the difference is like night and day. The only thing I don't like about it is the firing pin disconnect pin that pokes out of the top of the slide (just like the PX4 Storm, which I also have). I don't know what they could not have come up with a clean slide. Other than that, If you think I like this gun, know that I just ordered another. b

This was my first step back into a Beretta pistol in quite a while. It had very positive reviews so I thought I would give it a shot. Initially, everything looked good when I opened the box, all accessories were there and three magazines were present (Mine was a Law Enforcement sale only version, so you may not receive three mags with yours). Then I noticed that the trigger safety would not stay in the set position and would just flop around. I took it apart right there in the store and noted that the trigger safety spring was not installed. This is not a spring that can just fly out or fall out, it just wasn't installed at the factory. I find it remarkable that no one in quality control or upon test fire noted this obvious missing part. I contacted beretta before I accepted the pistol and they agreed to send out a trigger safety spring to me. I took it home and the spring arrived in two days. Took ten minutes to install the spring and all was good to go. Functions and fires great with no malfunctions with the couple hundred rounds I have put through it. Finish is not holding up as well as I would like and is already rubbing off the sights. Trigger is "good" and breaks clean with no creep. Trigger reset is in my experience longer that the You Tubers claim it is and is similiar to my Glock 19. Ergonomics are great and the slide serrations are functional. Some claim the pistol is ugly, but in person it actually looks really nice. Grip is good without being overly agressive with the stippling. Very accurate and flat shooting with almost no noticeable muzzle flip. Buds was great with delivery, but I am knocking off a star for the missing spring and bad QC at Beretta.

As the description noted it “claimed” the sights are adjustable. That’s not the case they are fixed and CANNOT be adjusted. The magazines ARE NOT compatible with any other Beretta pistols, but at least the positive thing is you get 3, 17rd mags if you’re a Qualified professional (QP). If not part of the QP you only get 2. Grips are Ok and somewhat the same as the Taurus Millennium G2, just not as textured. As stated it comes with 3 adjustable back straps, the Medium backstrap is already installed. Not sure what to make of the recoil spring, it looks a small and large spring were twisted together, and then wrapped around the guide rod; Weird design needless to say. But the good thing about the springs is it greatly reduces the recoil allowing for more accuracy. The upper and lower when cycling back and forth seem to sound real gritty, so don’t expect a smooth silent slide. Perhaps after a good break in, it’ll smooth out. Beretta states the pistol can be field stripped without pulling the trigger, by pushing in a release button on the right side of the pistol with a pen tip or for example a 5.56 round; don’t waste your time just pull the trigger it’ll make field stripping it quicker. Trigger is something you’ll have to get used to, it’s about a 6lbs or less trigger pull and has a very low reset which allows for a faster rate of fire and is surprisingly accurate. Overall I’ve fired over a 1000 rds using both brass and aluminum rounds and haven’t had a single issue and no FTF or FTE. Beretta has really stepped up their game and I absolutely love this pistol.

Typically fast service from Bud's and I got my pistol yesterday from my FFL. Great looking gun but today was range day and I ran over 200 rounds through it with no misfires, no FTLs and great accuracy. I am not a great fan of striker fired pistols but this trigger just might win me over. Crisp reset and clean break make for easy accuracy. Sights are great and spot on out of the box! Great entry for Beretta into the "striker zone"!
