This is an interesting little gun that has few equals in terms of its tiny size yet packing ac 5 shot punch with 48 grain Federal 22 caliber WMR defense ammo. The practical range on this little revolver is around 25 feet due to the under 1” barrel which is pointed vs aimed since there are no sights in the gun. The folded size of this revolver is smaller than the footprint of my IPhone Pro Max phone. Once you get used to shooting this small revolver, you will undoubtedly like carrying and shooting it. The trigger is intentionally hard to pull for safety reasons and reloading takes a little time since the cylinder needs to be removed to be reloaded.

I don't normally leave reviews but I had to say something about this little revolver. I just received it today and I've had a lot of compliments already. It shoots great!!! Not a long range weapon by any means but at 5 yards or closer you can definitely make someone who decides to attack have a very bad day. Look at all the new ammo they have come out with also. I ordered the kydex holster for it directly from Standard Manufacturing. Can't wait for that to show up! If your on the fence I say buy one. I wish I had 10 more I could have sold them all today. Also don't let anyone tell you a .22 magnum isn't good for self defense in saying this new ammo is a game changer.

The only reason its a 2 star is because the gun is a fun range toy. Wouldn't count on trusting my life with it as an EDC. Came out of box with a rusted up cylinder release pin. The cylinder would catch and would not let me cock the hammer on numerous occasions. I had the option to contact buds to not accept the delivery or take my chances to accept and try to fix it. I didnt want to deal with returning and waiting for a new one, so I took the chance. I examined further and it seemed like every now and then the cylinder stop would not engage when pulling the hammer back. My fix was just to drown most of the parts with CLP, clean it, keep cocking the hammer, dry fire and repeat. I noticed if I rode the hammer home instead of letting it strike on its own, the problem was more frequent. I got it to finally function semi reliably after repeatingly cleaning and dry firing. What caused this issue to start with? Maybe too much gunk/friction in the action preventing parts from functioning is my best guess. Shot over 100 rounds with it now and found out the gun really doesnt like when you short stroke, you really have to be deliberate with cocking the hammer. If you short stroke, the cylinder would catch, the cylinder stop wouldnt engage, and the hammer would not cock. Maybe one day it'll be more reliable but for now, I carry it as a last resort back up in case my 9mm fails me.

What I Liked The Switch Gun has a genuinely smart design and fills a niche that very few firearms can. In my role as a Search and Rescue team, space on a chest rig is at a premium—between ropes, harnesses, and lifesaving gear, there’s almost no room for anything bulky. The Switch Gun’s compact, folding profile makes it extremely easy to carry without broadcasting “gun” or interfering with mission equipment. For that purpose alone, it stands out as a clever and mission‑friendly tool. ⚠️ My Experience With the Firearm Unfortunately, my first range session revealed mechanical issues that made the firearm unreliable: - The cylinder would not rotate properly when loaded with ammunition. - The hammer intermittently failed to reach the half‑cock position. - The action would bind or jam before completing a full five‑round cycle. This occurred after a single test‑fire session and a careful cleaning following the manual’s instructions. As someone new to wheel guns, I initially assumed user error—but the symptoms were consistent and mechanical. ️ Customer Service Experience I reached out to Standard Manufacturing for assistance. Their communication was polite, but one important detail future buyers should know: Standard Manufacturing does not provide prepaid shipping labels for warranty or service issues—even on newly purchased firearms that have been fired once. You must ship the firearm back through an FFL at your own expense. For a premium‑priced niche firearm, this policy adds unexpected cost and inconvenience, especially when the issue appears immediately after first use. Overall Impression The Switch Gun is a great concept with real utility for people who need an ultra‑compact defensive tool. When it works, it fills a role that few other firearms can. But my individual unit suffered reliability problems right out of the gate, and the customer‑service policy requiring the owner to pay for return shipping through an FFL is something buyers should be aware of. If Standard Manufacturing improves quality control and adopts a more customer‑friendly warranty process, this could be an outstanding product. As it stands, the design is excellent—but my experience with reliability and support was disappointing.

Everything seems to work well. Not the best sights, just a groove along the top. But then it isn't made for target shooting.

A perfect pocket handgun that's easy to carry and always at the ready. Deploys easily, even for a Lefty. Packs just enough fire power to be a lethal deterrent if ever needed and won't leave your ears ringing.

Unique, very concealable gun. Switch action is positive and tactile. Feels good in the hand and firm in the grip. Reload are slow and cumbersome. Overall a great option for quick and ready conceal weapon.

Absolute garbage never worked properly from day one. Can never be a stand alone pocket pistol. When i did get it to function the next day the cylinder again would jam up after being in pocket. In no way can you count on this for any back up situation.
