Works as advertised…I like the feel

I don't know why some people hate it so much. If you live off the grid in a farm, this little guy is your best friend, protects you from snake, hogs, coyote and whatever. So far not a miss. It shoots 410 flawlessly, just get 2.5 inches and also .45 LC.

Surprisingly good with a few flaws. The felt recoil is quite low with both .45 colt and .410. The trigger broke in nicely. No reliability issues. My only real complaint is the grips provided with the handgun prevent full ejection of the cartridges and the use of speed loaders. Be prepared to mess with the cylinder a bit to eject the empty cases and use quick strips.

l have only fired a couple of times but really enjoy the gun.

Close quarter use only, stick with the 410 ammo manufactured for this piece others swell and are hard to eject. Not a good use of long colt rounds.

It is said that a shot gun is the best home defense fire arms. A Taurus judge is a hand held shot gun! It's 410 rounds are like mini shot gun shells but it's at a much more convenient size. I sleep with it next to my bed and I feel much safer than with a more conventional firearm. You can't lose with the judge on your side.

Nice gun, but after less than 50 rounds the I can not open the cylinder without banging it on something. It worked fine when it was brand new. I'll just have to live with it, it's not worth sending back to Taurus, who may or may not fix the problem.

Always wanted one of these and it did not disappoint. Weather you fire 410 or 45 long it delivers to the target. Not the kick you would expect either. Johnny Winchester

Best home defense handgun on the market in my very humble opinion. The reliability of a revolver added with the amazing variations of personal defense rounds you can get in .410 make this the gun I keep handy in my house. Shot 100 plus rounds, no issues. Also great for killing snakes or pests with light ammo! Bud's was good as always.

Great shooter, no jams with 50 rounds through it so far.

Trigger is alot heavier than it's bigger metal brother. Other than that I like it alot.

This hand cannon is great it works and can do the job it was bought for. a car gun/cannon those 410 shells are the kicker

Great gun for home defense. My wife and I both love it. The Public Defender is just one of those guns that when someone sees it they say "Wow! What is that?". It shoots very well for a revolver with a 2" barrel and the recoil is something you will have to get accustom to, but you can always go with the bigger aftermarket grips that are out there to help with the recoil. Overall, great revolver. Thanks Bud's for the smooth and always pleasant transaction.
