Great little .22LR pistol. Very accurate, great feel, good little trainer firearm.

The Walther Colt 1911 22Lr Is a great looking and great shooting gun. I shot 4 mags each of the Aguila 38 gr. and the Armscor 36 gr. Ammo through it with no problems at all. No misfires or feed problems, This gun is also very accurate. Money well spent . I love It ! Buds was also great to deal with and shipped it out fast. THANKS !

Super sweet shooting gun from Colt.

Had an issue from day one with loading and had to send back to Walther. Fast repair and it performed better but still issues with loading first round in every mag. Decided to find a workaround because I love shooting this gun but now the safety gets jammed and will not lower without manually pushing in the pin with a finger nail or small object. Other than shooting, not impressed with this one. Buds of course is always the best with shipping and care of the firearm which is why I gave two stars rather than one.

You have to love Bud's, always on time or early. Got this pistol to keep the muscle memory going, for a lot less money. The feel is amazing, all the 1911 functions are the same, except the recoil. I did find out that it does not like Norma .22lr 40 round nose ammunition. 2-5 failures per magazine, failed to feed, not going into battery all the time, just frustrating. Then plugged in some cci mini mag. The pistol ran fine, accuracy improved, had a great time. Now to get the thread adapter and a suppressor.

I love mine. Easy to disassemble and clean. Fun to plink with, sturdy, not too heavy. Highly recommend.

Absolutely LOVE 1911s but I wanted something that wouldn’t scare my mom off when I started to teach her to shoot, and this was the PERFECT gun! All the practicality of 1911 without the “bang” of a .45. Plus the ammo’s super cheap to shoot so we can train all day. Pure excellence if you ask me

Awesome gun well built and great shooting

I have owned this pistol 2 weeks and am having a rough start. About 300 rounds through it and have had about 3 dozen malfunctions. Failure to cycle and failure to feed. The magazine thumb assist was so sharp it cut my sons thumb deep. Walther was very good about sending two replacement magazines that had the sharp edges taken off. Going to try an aftermarket main spring as lots of owners say it really helps with cycling. I will also try more types of ammo to see if I can find one that will shoot a complete magazine. But overall, I personally would not purchase this gun again. I understand .22Lr can be finicky, so I will give it some time and work through the bugs. It is a nice heavy and good looking pistol.

Have yet to take it to the range, but delivery was timely. Wish it can with an extra mag. But fell in love with the feel, have large hands. Absolutely a beautiful weapon, well balanced. Very surprised for a 22 lr always been a big bore guy. I even have several friends impressed with it also and considering a purchase. I'll recommend this one max stars.

Great feel, great handling rimfire pistol. 1911 .22 at a 1:1 scale. Walther engineering is superb. Slide is incredibly smooth. Very pleased with this product and transaction. Don’t buy one - buy three.

First a word about budsgunshop.com: I've purchased my last 4 guns through them and couldn't be happier. The GUN (Walther Arms Colt 5170310 1911 Government Tribute .22 LR 5" 12 1): The all important question... would i purchase it again? Yes, no question... you won't regret it! That said, this is a true 4 out of 5 star gun... though it could have been a 5 but it would cost a little more (i'll explain).
Pros: Beautiful piece, definitely a real showpiece with the dusty olive. Cheap AMMO!! Even the good stuff isnt pricey at this level. Accurate sites out of the box. Easy breakdown and cleaning (search Walther Colt 1911 22lr on YouTube for factory video! Reliable (after break in!). Eats any ammo you throw at it.

Purchased my colt government tribute 22lr through buds and i love the gun. Got the gun home cleaned it took it out and shot it with cci ar tactical and cci mini mags and the gun shot perfectly.Ive seen a few bad reviews on the gun FTE and such but just do what your suppose to do clean it and oil it and shoot good ammo through it.I love the gun and its fun to shoot,the slide is really easy to rack and my fde model looks cool.Dealing with buds gun shop was simple and easy and shipping was fast. Will definitly use buds again with no worries. thanks Brad

This is a very sweet little 22 pistol. So far no hang ups always fires and eject Would highly recommend this 22 pistol! Highly recommended Buds!

Gun is excellent shooter, feels just like my 1911 Springfield. Super accurate, looks outstanding. Will not shoot cheap stuff, cycles with CCI, Thunderbolt, and Winchester target. One of the white spots on rear site fell out first reload. Buying another, excellent shooter!

The Walther Colt 1911's are great pistols. I have all the versions and love them all. The weight and feel make them a great 1911 .45 trainer with the far cheaper .22 LR ammo. This Tribute Model is great looking and the quality of materials/fit & finish is first rate. This 1911 has excellent and adjustable sights. Only a few FTE's and FTL's in over 500 rounds fired. Any 1911 .22 LR blow back operation will have some hiccups. The rubber grips are great and the trigger is crisp and clean. Buds service was fast and easy as usual. Having owned and shot all the 1911 .22's in the under $450.00 range the Walther Colts are the best by far.

excellent little full size 1911 22 lr quality is good had a few FTF AND FTE and double feeding with certain ammo during breaking period after that it's been very reliable only con I've found is one of the white dots off the rear sight came off after we shot the first couple of magazines it was a quick fix but still it shouldn't come off that easy also I've heard reviews from other people that had the same issues. Over all I strongly recommend this gun. 9 out of 10
