misfired first pull of trigger, and then continuously misfired every trigger pull after that cylinder does not line up with extractor pin does not fire. Every round must taken physically move cylinder to the proper location to extract, spent round. Also, does not line up the next round properly thought I was getting a good true, shooting, rimfire pistol very disappointed really like the weapon I was hoping to give it good reviews, but brand new out of the box. My experience with this weapon was dreadful give it zero stars.

This is just a cool little revolver. I have shot maybe 100 rounds and have had no issues. It’s a pain to load and unload but for $150 it’s just fun. The gun is heavy but it’s fun for me to cock the gun back and shoot. Reminds me of being a kid and shooting the little steel guns with the sleeve snappers. Also it didn’t come with a gun case but found a $20 case on Amazon.

Bought this little gem because of the look. The great looking grip and the contrasting metal frame is what caught my eye as soon as i saw it. I already have the cocoa grip 22lr and have recently purchased the magnum cylinder. I really like these revolvers. The two that i have are the 6.5 barrel and now i have my eye on one of the 4.75 length

Perfect addition to my ever growing collection of Heritage firearms. Showed up at my FFL pretty quickly and came in great condition. The first 12 rounds I had 5 fail to fire. So I switched over to WMR and I had 4 fail to fire. I stripped the gun down and gave it a good cleaning. Since then it fires great and I've had no issues with it. Very pleased with Buds!!

My 1st shot out of the box was a bull's eye. Easy to shoot and maintain, it's just plain fun! Very old school design, took me some time to get fuent at loading and clearing, but now this is my favorite gun in my collection. This historic design requires you keep an empty chamber under the hammer if you carry it. Good thing my father schooled me the in the old ways. They do have a 9 shot Rough Rider, if you just have to have the capacity. I doubt I'll ever wear this thing out, it's tough, but if I do, I'll buyanother one. May buy anotherone anyway! And finally, you can't beat the price!!!

This is one of the lowest cost best performing 22 LR revolvers I have ever fired simple to break down for cleaning, lock up is solid trigger pull is lite and balanced the model I have is equipped qith the ehnanced sites Heritage has found a niche industry and they build quality low cost firearms that anybody can afford no matter what type of shooting you do! I shared my experience with the rest of my family and now they all own Heritage Rough Riders !

I have several Heritage revolvers. They are well made and quite durable. Easy to use, easy to shoot, and reason ably accurate right out of the box.

Excellent revolver. I have used this to hunt small game and was successful with a bobcat as well. Tons of plinking and becoming familiar with a gun in my hands. There is something naturally satisfying about holding a revolver that is single action. I personally enjoy having the safety feature on this revolver as it gives me confidence it will not discharge unknowingly while in my side holster. Easy to clean, easy to handle, easy to carry around. As for Budsgunshop I cannot say how easy the process was for me to get the firearm. I simply called my local gun shop and asked if they received gun transfers and they said yes. I then put their address in the spot during checkout. About a week later I received the firearm. Sure there is a very small fee associated with the shipping but that is the point. I am waiting for another heritage rough rider to be in stock on Buds for purchase. Thank you Budsgunshop! Will be purchasing all my online firearms through Buds. Oh and shout out to hickok45

Here is a review so that I can enter into the giveaway. The gun was $150. it functions as it is supposed to. Great for teaching youth and beginner shooters.

Just shot its first 50 rds, Tippman arms 40 grain, at tin cans around 10 and 20 feet away. Functioned perfectly. The aim seemed straight, but possibly a little high because I had to aim with the very top tip of the front sight. Very nice trigger, even for a single action. I was just shooting from a standing, unsupported stance, but I could tell it was very accurate and I am optimistic about checking the grouping and precision sighting later. Probably just got lucky to have it so dialed in, based on other reviews.
Its very comfortable to shoot. Heavy makes it aim steady and have no noticeable kick, it just feels very solid. The grip is good for my pinky, its a little wider and rounder grip then the Wrangler and that's noticeably more comfortable for my large size hands.
Fit and Finnish are good, I like the case hardened look. If you place it next to a Colt the different quality of detail is obvious, but by itself I have zero complaints. For example, the metal in the grip isn't flush with the wood but it doesn't affect comfort and its $1000 more to reach that quality. I even like the safety for preventing a misfire from dropping or when its half cocked during loading, but it does look like ugly cheap plastic.
I got it for fun plinking and rats and snakes in the chicken coop. Also great for less experienced shooters, very simple to operate, clean, maintain and the revolver design makes it reliable even if you don't take care of it. Not a great fit for home defense or everyday carry or hunting, but if this is your budget then its loud enough to scare off a burglar, a ,22 is painful enough to change a tweaker's mind, and its solid enough to club a black bear.
Third purchase from Buds. I ordered midday and it was shipped the next day, free 2 day UPS. Consistently the best in selection and price, even including FFL transfer fee.
Five star but would be four star is the price wasn't so great. Very satisfied, would buy again. I might gift this for the holidays and buy the 9rd version. I could shoot out all the Hanukkah Menora candles.

Bought this johnny boy model not knowing what to expect as i had bought a rough rider 20 years ago & it was a fire and misfire so i returned it to the place i bought it at. this model is much better and i really like the color case brass type finish on frame and the overall build seems much better than the older ones as it now has a solid hammer with nice bluing on the barrel & cylinder with the rest of frame being a nice matching blue finish that's pretty good. i fired a couple of cylinder loads just to check it out & it seemed to work fine and fired all rounds but sometimes for what ever reason the hammer seems to have problems reaching that 4 click back but will work after giving it another firm pull back. i ordered an extra magnum cylinder off the heritage mfg. co. web site but it would not work in this revolver as it fit well and would rotate around with clicks and lined up correct but when cocking the hammer back to test it out the hammer would only go to the third click & not the fourth click needed to fire. might be this extra mag. cylinder will work in the new barkeep i ordered. anyway the one reviewed was fine for what it cost me and i'm glad i bought it .

These Heritage Cowboy revolvers are a hoot to shoot! Especially in 22WMR. It takes some practice to become proficient with the open sights, which has made me a better shooter. I also enjoy the Zen like rhythm of loading/cocking/aiming/firing/emptying/reloading a single action revolver. I prefer the popular Birdshead grip; they are hard to find in stock, but It's easy to go to the Heritage website and order the replacement Birdshead backstrap and grips. The safety doesn't bother me. The only negative is that the bluing/finish is marginal and can wear off quickly. But what do you expect for a $150 - $200 dollar gun? Go buy a Bluing pen and keep on shooting!
