My wife really likes this pistol. The wings make it easy for her to rack the slide back. Accuracy is about what you could expect from a pistol of this size and caliber. Haven't had any failures in about 100 rounds.

The TCP is all I thought it would be. Very easily cancelled and my wife loves the wings for actuating the slide. Very dependable and accurate for it intended purpose. I would definitely recommend it.

Really nice shooting gun and the wings on the action to help a woman or youth to rack one in chamber is sweet.the only little thing is the finish(bluing) come off just a little as cleaning and handling but I'd def recommend the pistol. Of course BUDS is unbelievable,I'm on my 7th or 8th purchase and all flawless transactions.ive turned at least 10 people at work onto BUDS.i can't say enough about them.

My new favorite mouse gun. Cycles JHP rounds flawlessly. Small enough to allow many carry options. Taurus nailed it with this one. As always, great service from Bud's.

I have ordered 5 pistols through Buds, so far. Every one has progressed perfectly and the price can not be beat. This is my go to source. The Taurus TCP 738 seems to be a nice little pistol, though I have not shot it yet. Polished the feed ramp and trigger out of the box and so everything is operating smooth. I have only hand fed some magazines through the pistol so far, but feed and ejection is good. The double action trigger is some what misleading, since there is no double strike capability. Action must be cycled to operate the trigger. Natural point of aim is perfect for me and grip is good for for large hands. Size and weight loaded is perfect for concealed carry, when other pistols are to hard to conceal.

I purchased this 738 TCP for two primary reasons. First, I love my Taurus 709 Slim, purchased a year earlier, having cycled over 3000 rounds. The 709 has proven to be as reliable as my Glock 19. Second, I wanted a smaller frame for carry purposes and the 738 fit that bill. I'd read of owners who love it and those who didn't. What sealed it for me, was a range who had a rental 738 with many thousands of rounds and no problems at all. Of course the lifetime warranty from Taurus helped too. That said, I've cycled over 700 rounds and love the feel of the 738, both shooting at close range and in carrying. During this break-in period I've learned which ammo cycles better than others, experiencing some FTF with less expensive ammo. However, at present the 738 has been sent back to Taurus for repair, as the trigger slide broke and could not be repaired by our local gunsmith. In spite of this, I'd buy this gun again, finding it to be a great value. I look forward to shooting the 738 again, once Taurus repairs it. The lifetime warranty is really nice.

I've had the TCP 738 to the range and it fired well. I know it is new and had a couple of misfires but that is expected. It may well have been the ammo casings as the rounds did not fully chamber. I figure when enough ammo is fired if will correct itself. In using a two handed grip, don't place your thumb behind the slide or you will get bit. I've since equipped my TCP with a Desantis Wallet holster that gives me better grip area. I've added a 10 round mag as a back up mag for use while range shooting. Unfortunately the closest target at the range I used was 30 feet or 10 yards. This is a close quarter firearm within the 7 yard combat range for better grouping. I'm joining a gun club that has a combat range for that purpose as I get more familiar with the TCP. I love the Wings on the slide. I had carpal tunnel and haven't the strength to charge the weapon, flip out the wings and its a easy rack. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I really like the looks of the gun. I also like the fold out wings makes racking the slide easy. But I experienced some failures I changed ammo and used blazer I did not experience any more malfunctions so hopefully it was just the ammo and not the gun. The gun did have some scratches on it when I bought it but overall buds is excellent to do business with.

Excellent little pistol. I have owned or shot 380's from Kel Tec, Diamondback, Ruger (all 3 versions) and Taurus. I have arthritis in my hands and really have trouble clearing the small pistols. Taurus was my last purchase of the small 380's. The Taurus TCP was the 1st of the micro pistols to have lock back on last round. I had wanted to try one out so I picked the 1st one up cheap at a pawn shop and gave it a test. I was very pleased. I am a long time revolver guy, so to me the trigger was really good. Sights were small but quite useable. Accuracy at 15 yards was 7 into a 3 inch group. I ended up preferring the Taurus TCP over all the others. I sold my 1st and 2nd TCP 380 to friends that needed a good pocket pistol. I was looking for another used TCP to keep when I heard about the new "WINGS" version. Bud's had them at a really good price with free shipping so I bought this one. This is my 3rd Taurus TCP. I reload for over 50 calibers and shoot weekly. I bought some Tula steel case 380 for test and break in. Sights were useable, trigger was really good (remember I am a revolver guy so double action is ok to me), Accuracy (unsupported) at 15 yards was very good at 2 inches for 7 rounds with Tula. Tula (3 mags), Ruger ARX (1 mag), Winchester White box (2 mags), Winchester Train & Protect (1 mag), Colt (3 mags) and reloads all worked well with no jams or problems. Recoil was a bit stiffer than I like, but that is a result of my arthritis and was tolerable and the pistol was quite controllable. The WINGS work great to assist in racking the slide and will self retract during firing and they don't open while firing. I will soon get a rubber sleeve grip for it. All in all I am extremely pleased with the pistol. I've read and watched reviews about the long reset where short stroking the trigger will cause a jam, but I've never had that problem with any pistol, ever. I don't try to force a pistol to work at competition speeds that push a short reset. I will rotate it with my revolver for EDC. Ammo will probably be the Ruger ARX due to the lighter recoil.

Just Purchased this weapon from Buds, and today took it to the range for the first time. Ran 175 rounds through with only 1 misfeed and I think that was my doing. The only thing negative I can say is the sight are VERY small, but easy to get used to. I really enjoyed shooting this micro wepon.

I bought the TCP with wings at rear of slide for easier slide operation. Nice feature for those with hand weakness or disabilities. Added the Pachmayer slip on for more grip, painted front sight, ready to go! Think all autos should come with 2 mags minimum, the extra PT738 magazine was only $20 so not a big deal. The Spectrum is due out soon so likely some price cuts on the way for 738s to clear them out.

it took 12 days for the electric transfer to go through, but I was in no hurry. The TCP shoots well hit a 12 inch gong at 35 yds. I wish Buds would put a better description of what you are getting for the price. This gun sells for $191 to $245 and no detail of what the extra price gets you. I ordered the one that sells for $213 and got the wing version. I don't need wings to help with the slide. I do like the gun and it shoots well.

These are great little guns! I also own an lcp, and I honestly like the feel of the 780 much better... and the last round hold on the slide is an awesome feature for a micro compact... my only complaint is the magazines . You really have to smack them in to get them seated good... and the mag release is very streamlined, so you really have to push it... the model I purchased also has the fold ouy wings on the back of the slidr, which really helps my wife out with pulling the slide back

This is the model with wings (wgs). This clever addition of folding tabs makes it easy to rack if you have less hand strength like me. Came with only one magazine, but I think that is a good trade-off.
