I love this rifle. I’ve fired over 1000 rounds through it with zero malfunctions. This thing will shoot any type of ammo but I mostly use Federal, Hornady Winchester, Iwi and Speer brass case, 150-168 grain.

Excellent all around gun, A+++!

I think this is a better rifle than the scar 17. I have no issues with it and have several hundred of rounds through it.

The Israeli Galil. Wow, the definitive battle rifle extraordinaire. I could go on about the many variants I have owned since 1989, however I will offer this about this Gen 3 model. It is remarkable. The fit & finish is stunning and it remains one of the finest assault weapons in the world. Affectionately known as the Hebrew hammer in 7.62x51, you not only have a preeminent defensive weapon system but you support the Israeli people and their industrial base. I thank God every day I possess the skill and have such infallible tools. There is no doubt none that Buds Guns and their employees remain the real patriots and what ever weapon you choose, consider this one, and give Buds your business.

Very nice .308 7.62 NATO shoots accurate no problems after 500 rounds put through it, all around great gun for any use you have for it

I am very satisfied with this purchase. No issues with Buds or the rifle. I've been out to shoot several times now without issue. Funds and legislation permitting, I would like to get another in the 223. To admit to my bias, I enjoy the versatility of having an AK-style rifle with the full stopping power of the 308 AND the ability to seamlessly add a scope or light.
If you have read other reviews you will quickly learn that the rifle is very tight and initially difficult to take apart. That being said, after taking it apart several times I have become proficient enough to take it apart and put it back together again in quick work.
Also, if you are one to reload brass, this is good candidate for producing somewhat re-loadable brass following a trip to the range. The brass is dented upon exit without fail. Additionally, it also produces very small brass shavings that build up inside of the receiver. I don't have an issue with this as I cant see this as I'm obsessed with keeping it clean after every trip to the range. I can't see these small shavings interrupting the firing mechanism either.

Gotta say I am impressed with this rifle very accurate for this type of rifle mine with the right ammo shoots just under 1 moa at a 100 yards very reliable as well flawlessly cycling everything from steel cases Tula too Hornady match ammo and reloads . The muzzle break is very effective but very loud had too wear plugs and muffs

My opinion is only in relation to the fact that only 100 rounds have gone through my new Galil ACE but so far zero malfunctions Again, very small number of rounds so far and all in 7.62x51mm NATO FMJ (XM80CS) Federal (Lake City (M80-LC)

Galia Ace in 308 has got to be the best 308 rifle out there. Wish our military carried them vs the M4's. More knockdown and easy to clean and it just keeps running and running.You can hit your target alot farther then 5.56x45 or 7.62x39 but I have nothing against them. If you Are high volume shooter you my opt. for one of these and if you do will not be disappointed. Have fun at the range or woods. Danny

Pros first: Light weight, exceptionally light recoil, smooth action, eats anything you throw at it! The trigger is meh but better than a mil spec AR trigger, and it wont surprise you when it shoots Cons: Iron sights are off BADLY, I was aiming at a target 100 yds out and hitting somewhere about 3 feet above the target and about 2 feet to the left, definitely a rifle meant for an optic, also the tight tolerances are quite nice and make for a more robust and well built firearm, however removal of the top cover to get to the internals was far too tight and required a rubber mallet to remove and re-install the top cover which resulted in careful filing of several areas to ease some of the tightness on the cover. My experience with this rifle has been up and down but I'd prefer this rifle to an AR-10 for the simple fact of its ability to feed brass and steel case ammo allowing it to be a great defense, hunting, or plinking rifle. Would definitely recommend this rifle but be sure to inspect the rifle thoroughly at the dealer, make sure its not overly tight and nearly impossible to disassemble without tools
