Better off with a small j-frame revolver or such. This thing is heavier and more difficult to shoot. My little small frame revolver is easier to carry and to shoot, plus I have 5 rounds instead of two and the revolver is more accurate. I disliked this so much that I sold it at a loss. But others may like it for whatever reason. I hated it.

When I was a kid, and saw the old Western genre movie, "The Last Sunset", starring Rock Hudson and Kirk Douglas and I was fascinated by Douglas wearing a derringer in a cross draw. I purchased two of these Bond Arms, changed the grips to Ivory, and wear them both on either hip as my EDC. (They're heavy enough to require two, because when I wear only one, causes discomfort in lower back.) I believe they're as good a derringer as there is on the market, so if you're looking for one, consider this model. And, be sure to purchase right here from BUD's. I've made several purchases now made from BUD's and all were flawless with no regrets (Having said that, be sure to understand the several week delay between paying for the purchase and taking delivery.)

This is a solidly built gun. It has to be if you are firing a .45ACP bullet. Good solid weight in your hand, not light. Nice for a back-up that is NOT a skimpy .22. .25 or .32 (or .380). Hard to find these types of pistols in everyday Gun Stores. (always special order) Total buying process was excellent from Bud's ordering process to the FFL Dealer delivery. It seems like this is the way you have to buy most quality self-defense guns today because most dealers when you walk in, everything is either "out-of-stock" or "it may be coming in six months." - if they carry it at all. Do the multiple-purchase when you buy (buy 2+) and get discount.

Well Made; like a little tank (.45) and it blast two 1/2” holes in the target at 5’. This is NOT a gun you want to target it shoot with; this big calibre’s in this little frame, will and does hurt your hand with just two rounds. It’s not a design and one doesn’t buy this to target shoot with. It is very concealable although heavy for its size; it fits and hides anywhere! If you “need” it for self-defense, you will be glad you have the stopping power at your fingertips! Highly recommend for self defense and concealability !

Start off by saying super cool. Looks great and super light. Took to the range with my other weapons to test and see how it felt. Well after a couple of trigger pulls the trigger got so stiff couldn’t squeeze. Called the manufacturer and they said I was pulling it wrong. Called again… after a year got a call back and they sent me a return label to see what was wrong, return label would not be excepted for shipment and I was required to pay. It’s sitting on a shelf worthless. Neat idea, poor execution!

This is everything I ever wanted in a derringer. In 45 ACP, the recoil is certainly there, but it isn't that bad compared to a 357 mag snub nose. I have put about 500 rounds through this, and I am confident that it will hold up. At first the trigger was quite heavy, but it has loosened up a lot. I find it unlikely hollow points will expand out of this barrel and carry basic 230 grain hardball. If you want a simple, reliable derringer for close range protection, I think this is a good choice

Makes a nice back up for your back up. Solid little piece. Might suggest getting an extended grip for some of the stronger calibers.

Tough little piece. Good for a last ditch get off me gun. It is bulky and heavy ( the.45 is ) but, nothing says get off me better.

Cool little pistol. I would not recommend for someones first pistol. Very snappy but with practice can be managed. I noticed mine shot about 6 inches high, but I definitely need to practice a lot more. For upclose and personal this will certainly do the trick.

Love the gun, took it out and it worked like a charm. I must admit that it has a kick to it, so be prepared do to the size of the grip you will feel it between the thumb and forefinger when you shoot. But overall not back, remember this is a Derringer so range is not what you get but a nice close in, last resort weapon. The .45 proivdes good stopping power.

This is a solid piece of machinery, fit and finish are excellent. Gun is a little heavier than i expected so, for me, a good holster is necessary to carry comfortably. Gun was accurate with my first two shots within one inch of each other from seven yards out.

Really high quality gun, trigger is really heavy for obvious reasons, only real complaint which might go away after shooting it more is it’s hard to pull the empty casings out after shooting

Been wanting one in .45 ACP for a backup for my .45’S. Excellent for 5ft or closer!

This is a nice robust little gun that is easy to handle due to its use of 100% stainless. It is easy concealed in a pocket in the event heaven forbid its needed.

I’ve run around 50 rounds through this guy since I’ve had it. There’s definitely a learning curve as far as how to grip it as well as squeezing the trigger. It does get better with practice. It’s very heavy for its size and you can definitely tell that it’s a quality made firearm. It’s really nice for what it is and operates smoothly and flawlessly. Don’t however think that you’re going to take it out of the box and start tack driving at twenty yards. As always, Buds service was second to none.
