The Hellion is a well-built and surprisingly refined bullpup. It feels compact without sacrificing barrel length, shoots smoothly, and the adjustable configuration makes it much more comfortable than many other bullpups I’ve tried. Weight is more heavily balanced towards the rear and feels more like a Tavor than an RDB

Horrendous trigger and overly complicated system. This rifle is heavy for a 5.56 gun and doesn't offer any advantages over other similar designs. Mine had to be sent back to the factory for warranty work as well. Overall I don't see the point of this.

So far so good, very neat rifle. The purchase was easy as well as the transfer at the gun shop. I will be purchasing other guns from Buds in the future.

This firearm so far has been everything I have expected it to be and then some. With close to 1000 rounds shot through it with no issues of failure to feed or double feeding, regardless of the grain of ammo I have used or if its brass or steel casings. Haven't really stretched it out to the 500 mark that it is supposedly able to reach so not really sure about the accuracy out that far. But out to 300 it hold the groups pretty tight on a bench. The flip up sights that are integrated nice cause once zeroed you don't have to worry about bumping and breaking them off as much as you do with the plastic ones. YouTube videos make it out to be a lengthy process to convert it to left hand firing mode, after doing it a couple of times it only takes a couple of minutes to switch it over. Don't have a suppressor for it so I can't review it but the knob to switch it over is pretty easy to turn. It does handle old school steel mags nicely with no issues from them double feeding or failure to feed. The mag release is kinda like a AK release have so far not had any issues dropping mags smoothly. The butt stock extends and collapses pretty smooth. The brass deflector can be misleading as a cheek rest it's not but could be used as one I guess. The break down and cleaning of this firearm is pretty simple with only one takedown pin to get to the piston and BCG. Trigger pull could be a little tighter for it has a lot of distance before firing but the reset is smooth and quick. The weight is a small issue for me as well but being prior military weight is always a issue when it comes to carrying something for a extended period of time. But over all Buds did a awesome job of shipping and transferring this weapon. I give it 5 stars even with the trigger pull and weight. I will be ordering the 18 inch version soon through Buds. I would recommend this firearm to anyone that is looking for a smooth bullpup if anyone has any questions hit me up and I'll try to answer them on here.

I gave the Hellion 3 stars. I took off 2 stars because of the trigger. It might be normal for a bullpup, but I just can't give any gun 5 stars when the trigger had as much creep as it did. I echo other reviewers that the safety is weird and awkward to use. The gun does shoot well and I had to make only minor adjustment on the handrail-mounted scope. Note that when reassembling the gun after cleaning, the carrying handle must go on before the handguard per the manual. I found one YouTube that got this wrong. Also, the flash hider was mounted with a ridiculous amount of torque. I had to buy a Wheeler Universal Barrel Vice Clamp and use a 16" adjustable wrench. I still couldn't remove the flash hider until I heated it for about a minute with a heat gun. There was no threadlocker, only a crush washer. Still, it's fun to own a bullpup and I'd buy it again. As usual, Bud's did a great job with the order and keeping me informed.

Handle great, almost no kick at all. Plenty of rail to mount all your upgrades.

If you’re looking for an alternative to the ar platform this is a great option. This was my first time buying from buds as well. The firearm and the service was great, will be shopping here again.

This has been the most 'fun' firearm I've owned. I've put about 1000 rounds through so far with zero issues. Very comfortable to maneuver & shoot, suppressor-ready out of the box, looks badass, etc. It actually does have a decent trigger for a bullpup contrary to what others say. I had my gunsmith shorten the trigger reset which made the world of a difference, though. Highly recommend either way. Hands down the best pup on the market relative to price, quality, and immediate value out of the box. And as always, quick and easy transaction from Buds!

This is my second firearm purchased from Buds and both were flawless. The Hellion is well-built and the weight is perfect for me. I spent 23 years in the Army and have carried and shot many different weapon systems and this Hellion is up there with the best for me. I have read complaints about the trigger, the safety, and the fact the bolt doesn’t lock back except with an empty magazine. For this old soldier, I would have loved to have carried this during multiple deployments.

Glad I finally got one of these. Only have 200 rounds through it but so far zero issues. Shots very accurate and has good ergonomics. Trigger is a little squishy but got used to it pretty quickly.

Ive personally gravitated towards bullpup styled rifles so when the hellion came out i was itching to try it for some time. An excellent weapon that feels really solid when using.

Very smooth, recoil is almost not there. I am surprised to such a capable gun at such a low price. Even with a suppressor this will take up less space than most AR. perfect for home defense or any other scenarios. Ofcourse you cant go to battle with a semi-auto but if you had to this wouldn’t be too bad either. Just best bang for buck and one of the best bullpup on the market!!

Buds Gun Shop got this gun to me in 8 days from add to cart to FFL transfer and after seeing them on GB going for $800ish over MSRP I got it for just under MSRP. The gun is everything you have read and watched reviews about. It is really nice how quick it converts to left hand for my son and I also like it because it has a ring to it just like the full-size M1A’s. I will also say that it is the most accurate Bullpup I have ever shot. I know all the ones SA sent out had a Nightforce optic but I installed a Primary Arms SLX 3x32 Gen 3 ACSS prism with the 5.56 reticle and it works well. This is a awesome gun and Buds Gun Shop delivered again. Thanks guys/gals.

Upon opening the box I discovered a nice black soft case with two mag pouches sewn in. I unzipped the case to reveal a futuristic looking bullpup rifle, built heavily of polymer. I hefted the rifle, finding that it felt lighter and better balanced than expected. I pulled back the charging handle, feeling a nice smooth action. The ambi safety was fairly easy to actuate on and off even with my finger on the trigger, although the tab of the safety was somewhat sharp. The trigger itself had a smooth but very long take up. The break was spongy but acceptable. Overall it reminded me of a Glock trigger. The rifle came with one pmag. I popped the mag into the rifle and was somewhat disappointed with the lack of a solid positive click. The mag release, a tab just behind the magwell, was very easy and intuitive to use. I locked the bolt to the rear on the empty mag and tried the bolt release, which is a somewhat odd chunky tab a short distance behind the magwell. It was easy to activate with a rearward push but will probably make for somewhat slow reloads. On the top of the rifle was a very long picatinny rail ready for any optic you desire. Just fore and aft of the rail, folded flush but popping up easily when needed were a set of very high quality iron sights. They are probably as precise as you would ever need. A short time after picking up the rifle I had the time to fire 10 rounds through it. The rounds fired soft and smooth, and the rifle functioned properly. This seems like a solid, high quality rifle so far and I can't wait to test it further.
