Love Rock Island, very accurate, dependable, and good looking pistol. It has met every expectation and I will definitely be getting more Rock Island products. Buds is, as usual, so easy to do business with. Can’t ask for more.

NICE 45 1911 SHOOTS GREAT.

I have owned several 45acp handguns, this Rock Island is the best, With little sight adjustment I am getting good groupings at 25 yards. I am hitting 8" steel at 50 Yards. I've shot it three times so far put 250 rounds through it and have had a few failure to feeds, most likely my fault I should have cleaned and oiled the gun out of the box, it came in a sealed bag very oiled, I wiped it down and figured it was oiled enough. The other Issue I have is also with me, I can't reach the mag release with my right thumb without manipulating the gun in my hand,again that is on me. Buds was awesome to work with as always, the price was good (just wish online could get the cash price or don't show the cash price to the online customers). Overall I give the Rock Island Rock Ultra MS 45acp 5 stars (the issues I had with it were on me not the gun. Buds also gets 5 stars, they make the whole purchase process smooth and fast. Thanks Buds

It took a month to get the firearm after ordering it. Bud's and my FFL did their jobs, but getting the paperwork handled seem to take forever. I put 100 rounds of factory ammo through the pistol the first time out and it ran flawlessly with brass and aluminum cases. The gun feels solid, it has a nice beaver tail and the fiber optic front sight is a blessing for my old eyes. The G-10 grips are nice and the parkerized finish looks good. The only thing I might do is change out the ambidextrous thumb safety, but really it didn't get in the way at all. The thumb safety is solid. All in all, a really well made 1911.

Great buy for the money, shoots and functioned with no issues. Trigger was crisp. Only thing I didn't like was it had MIM trigger parts, which I replaced with aftermarket parts. The sights were nice, but prefer a "U" notch rear sight, so I replaced the rear with a "U" notch sight, Rock Island has their own dovetail cut, so I used a Novak cut rear sight and file fitted it to fit. I do a lot of shooting and the MIM parts commonly fail after awhile for the amount of shooting I do. Overall, a great buy for the money.

Great service from Bud"s. I bought pistol because of all the extras for the price. I have 150 rounds through it with zero malfunctions.The sights are adjustable which is a plus. The only dislike would be the parkerized finish. That said, the pistol is a very good value for the price, you can spend a lot more and get less.I may just get the slide ceracoated, because I like the gun.

First 150 rounds not any issues what so ever. Sights needed a little adjusting but accurate at distance. Great shooter nice features and an attractive price

This 1911 is awesome. Shoot like a dream. Have put around 1200 rounds through it ,with no problems. Break down is a little different and can be a pain at first. But overall great gun.

Everything you could ask for from a single stack 1911. Great product, great price. RIA is legit.

Great pistol for the price. Grips tend to be a bit rough on the hands after a day at the range but man, this thing is a tack driver. And buying from Buds is as simple as it gets.

I just received my new Rock Island, 45Auto with a 4.25" barrel. The quality of the gun seems to be amazing, It fits really well in my hand, and racks smoothly, although being new it is a little tight. I am glad I purchased the 4.25" barrel, it just seems to be so much easier to maneuver. I hope to get out to the range in a couple of weeks to shoot it. Buds was great to deal with on the purchase of my pistol. No issues at all.

Jam-O-MATIC! issues with slide stop backing out causing it to jam, fail to extract, poor ejection. also had a kimber with similar problems. done with the 1911 platform!!!! have a browning hp 9mm with almost 6000 rounds through it , never hammed once ! all kinds of ammo through it never needed to be adjusted! just out of the box reliable. as one would expect.

Rock Island, .45 auto, Rock Ultra MS 1911
This is my third Rock Island.
After doing a complete disassembly and running it through a couple cycles in the ultrasonic cleaner, (it arrives very oily for storage after manufacturing), I lubed it and reassembled the pistol.
The following weekend I took it to the range and put about 250 rounds through it. Both range ammo and some of my 250 grain Federal HST carry ammo.
ZERO malfunctions. It is a fantastic pistol. I would recommend this 1911 to anyone.

Have not had time to fire the pistol yet but the the finish and tolerances on it seem to be equal to many of the high dollar models from other manufacturers. I will probably trade the grips out ...they are not really working for me.

Over all I’m satisfied with Buds guns, the transaction went smoothly and in a timely manner. I did notice however that the slide to frame fit is lose unlike my 10mm ria ms that is rock solid tight, this 1911 has the rattle so that was my only disappointment, however it does function well and I am happy with it outside of that.

Awesome handgun. Well worth the money. This is my first 1911 style firearm, I definitely no regret buying this gun. The gun is put together awesomely. Everything is smooth and well executed. Now I want the 10mm version. But haven’t had any problems with the function of the firearm.

I've had this rock island for over 3 months and I love it. So far I have 800 rounds through it and haven't had any malfunctions that weren't based on cheap/bad quality ammo and even then I can count those on one hand. All in all, I definitely recommend it.

Very nice 1911 for the money. Took a while for shipping but it's the holiday season.

First let me say that my dealing with Buds Gunshop was great. Whole transaction and prompt shipping will have me recommending Buds to others. Now to the RI Ultra. After a complete cleaning, comes seriously packed in grease, it was off to range. After 200 rounds i had only 1 failure to feed. Big issue for me was trigger safety design. I have 2 Springfield 1911's and learn to set my thumb across top of safety. The RI cut back into the web of thumb. so I rounded back end. Also feed ramp was not polished, which I also took care of. Barrel throat looked fine. Back to range and another 200 rounds and not a lick of issue. At this time I've put through nearly a 1000 rounds with not an issue with feeding rounds. Bought a couple Mec-Gar magazines. Did do a little adjustment on sites. Quite happy and impressed with the Ultra. Could not beat the price .

This pistol is a very good value for the money. I would recommend anyone to purchase this 1911. The only thing I wish was different would be a extra mag's would be nice to go along with it.

"JUST GET IT" thats the best way to sum this gun up. Right out of the box this gun was impressive. Nailed center mass on first 24 rounds thru the gun at 10 yards and im a so-so shot. Recoil is very manageable letting you get sights back on target quickly. Not sure what else to say about this RIA 1911, but i feel ot is worth every penny spent on it.

Very good looking and B for consistent placement. The reason I sold it after 6 months was the difficulty breaking it down. I don't, as a habit, cuss a lot, but this gun was changing that habit.
