Thinking of purchasing a 92S police trade in. Has anyone bought one, and is the finish OK, or pretty rough? Not a big issue, buying for the quality reliability. Just don't want the finish to be trashed.

I purchased the Beretta 92S used Italian police from Buds last month for $329. It was stated to be in GOOD condition, but when I received it it was in VERY GOOD+ condition. One magazine and no box. It was heavily oiled, but had no holster wear and the barrel bluing showed no wear. Magazine showed no wear. Only light hairline scratches on grips visible on close inspection and very small nick in trigger guard kept it from being excellent. It operates perfectly after over 100 rounds with cheapest steel case TULA ammo with no malfunctions whatsoever. I then asked NORTON for a price drop guarantee rebate when the pistol price dropped to $299 and got a $30 check in the mail last week. I may have gotten lucky, but that's the facts, Jack. Ozark John
