Is it possible to add a tube extender / or replace with a longer tube? 5+1 or 6+1?

Hi Bret, Yes, the Nordic tube extension will give you 2 extra 2.75" rounds so you'll get 6 rounds + 1 in the chamber.

any 870 tube extender will fit but I would not want a tube magazine longer that the barrel on a shotgun

Yes, the Nordic "Plus One" tube extension will give you 2 extra 2.75" rounds in the tube for a total of 6 rounds plus 1 in the chamber. Details here : youtube.com/watch?v=DrKfzUHsXwc
