I have the snub nose version of this revolver (2" barrel) and it as well as yours will handle +P and +P+ as well as the standard 38spl and 357mag. It sure will kick though with the +P+ and 357mag. The 38spl and +P is not too bad of a recoil with the +P being slightly less than the 3257mag.

These questions keeps coming up on these boards. For the record : If your revolver is chambered for .357 magnum then you can safely shoot any .38 Special cartridge including +P and +P+. You CANNOT shoot .357 magnum cartridges in a gun chambered for .38 Special. The .357 is basically lengthened .38 and is too long to fit in a .38 ...the cylinder won't close. Don't confuse the size of the bullets with the size of case. Many .38 and .357 loads do use the same bullets but the cartridges are not always interchangeable. Just remember Specials in Magnums = OK ....Magnums in Specials = No Way. Works for .41 and .44s too.
