Actually I would like to know specifically what’s the best set up to mount a scope to this rifle? Will another accessory rail be needed?

Wild - All depends on which scope you want and what you plan to use the rifle for. You can buy a scope that has an integral mount for the picatinny rail built in s part of the scope, or you can buy a scope that will not have the mount built in. The scope Randy i pointed out will work for just range 'plinking' and does not require any additional hardware. The scope James pointed out is OK, but will still require a set of rings or preferably, a one piece mount similar to this: budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/25469/truglo+tg8964b+riser+mount+1-piece+base+30mm+dia+1%22+black+matte+anodized Or of course, you can do the red dot type optic as Michael said, if you don;t really need the magnification of a scope. Opinions on this are as plentiful as on most matters. I suggest you get the rifle, shoot it a while with the open sights and learn to zero it precisely, THEN start thinking about how you will use it and what you will need to add to attain that objective.

Wild, this rifle has an A3 Flat Top Upper with Removable Carry Handle so the Picatinny Rail is already there. I recommend a scope that is calibrated for the ballistics of the 5.56/223 round on the "AR" platform. budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/718000284/bushnell_ar_optics_3-9x40_drop_zone_223_bdc

Wild, A good 3-9 power scope works fine on these sporting rifles. Or just a 3 or 4 power optic. You could mount optic on rail on fore grip. Normally a scope would go where the carry handle is, but you could mount an optic on the rail on the fore end. Some decent options under $100 are NC Star model STP3942GV2 or STM3942GDV2 - UTG model SCP-392AOLWQ- Truglo and BSA make some affordable 3 power optics. Or you could spend several hundred and get a Trijicon or Leupold scope.
