  • How is the gen 2 Springfield trigger? Is the fiber optic site any count? Do they make one without the fiber optic site? We need the OG gun guru to answer the hard hitting questions.

  • John - These are some fine pistols. The triggers on Springfield's 1911s are pretty much always very 'crisp', with little pre-travel or over travel, and break around 5 lb from the factory. Their fiber optic sights are great, in my opinion, but are easy to swap out if the purchaser desires to do so. I had the pleasure of shooting one of these pistols a while back, and they are everything Springfield says they are - and probably just a tad better. Springfield has a great customer service department, as well, so you can buy a Springer with confidence.
